Hampton Roads Club Mini

That's right folks a whole day at the beach!!!!

I have rented the Lighthouse Shelter at Buckroe Beach in Hampton for Sunday, September 12th.

Here is the general idea... details to be firmed up later.  We have the shelter from 7am to 8pm.  It comes equipped with grill and picnic tables.  I'm thinking we will supply some basics like charcoal, ice, utensils, maybe some hot dogs and buns and ask everyone to bring a dish or supply along with them.  We also are looking into having some MINI Cooper cookies custom made for us.  We will ask a small fee to help cover expenses.  If your pockets are empty we won't turn you away though.

Elaine and I will be working out the plans so contact either one of us for whatever you need or to list a dish you want to bring.  I like listing what people are bringing so we don't get 25 bowls of potato salad!

Since everyone needs to plan for the number of people I really need a good RSVP from you.  Deadline to come for cookie order.  

The shelter is paid for rain or shine.  So if it rains, come anyway!!!

The beach is actually part of the Hampton Parks and Recreation property.  That means no alcohol on the property.  This will be a family and guest friendly event.  We will be able to see the beach and bay from our party location.  There is nice calm swimming areas, an observation pier, a fishing pier (for additional fee), concrete boardwalk (oxymoron?) and bike paths.
