It looks great! It also looks like Riqui was able to find some extra material cuz that doesn't look like the fabric I remember you buying, but I am tired and it's late, so I could be wrong. Sorry I missed you guys. I had a great time out of town. Will have to tell you all about it another time. Title: awesome Post by: Beckster18 on August 13, 2007, 08:59:41 AM Angela, that looks great, congrats!

I liked making the purse sooo much I decided to make another one. Here is what I've got so far. All I have left to do is edge stitching on all corners to make it "boxy" looking. (I decided to leave out the flap on this one.) Great job Angela! Title: Angie's Purse Post by: awood279 on August 19, 2007, 06:13:54 AM LOL!! Thanks guys!!
I had issue after issue last night while I was trying to finish it up. I sewn the bottom stitching on the front & back and realized that my needle point canvas was not in the bottom......in all my nervousness and adjusting & re-adjusting things...it had moved to the front panel so I had to pull a section of seam in the liner and fish it out then cut it down a little and snake it back into bottom. Thank goodness I hadn't sewn the bottom sides yet. Then I just had the hardest time doing the side corner stitching. Wow! It was pretty difficult to keep everything in place & moving all while keeping my line straight. There are a couple sections that are definately "Franken-stitches"! But all in all, I pretty happy with it. I am very proud that I was able to match the stripes in the pattern up on the bottom & on the top of the liner and I like the way the handles turned out. Anyway...thank you Riqui! You are a wonderful teacher! Your new students are very lucky to have you. Title: Angie's Purse Post by: awood279 on August 25, 2007, 11:11:05 PM Here's my purse from today's stichin session. I just got it all finished up. Had to be lazy when I got home and lay in the chaise & watch some tv, LOL! But finally got my lazy bum up and finished. I think it turned out pretty good and it only ended up costing $10 to make! :P

Title: Angie's Purse Post by: awood279 on August 26, 2007, 10:30:35 AM Thanks Trish! I definately need some practice sewing in trim. LOL! And I think I'm gonna take approx. a 1/2" off the liner so that it fits better inside.
Title: Angie's Purse Post by: Lelane on August 26, 2007, 06:10:23 PM Angie, It looks wonderful, you have really caught on to this sewing thing very well.
You are a sewing fiend now. Great job. Title: Angie's Purse Post by: Deb, the blue fairy on August 26, 2007, 09:07:09 PM I envious of your ability to go home and make stuff. I'm still working on a project that seems to be taking forever and I keep putting it off.
