I think you are slowly pulling renee into this.  She loves everyone's purse.

So Question from Renee, how big are they and how hard are they to make????

I guess I am going to have to set her up with her own hrmini id.

Sizes vary, it's up to her. Not very hard to do with our dedicated instructor Miz Riqui!! she's the bomb!

The one I made has multiple variations of size.  And Riqui has lots of patterns and for bigger purses too.  You had said that Renee is looking for one to carry her books in for school.  Tell her to come this weekend and check it out.  If she wants to make one, I can meet up with her and go to Hancocks or somewhere to help her pick out fabrics and other items needed.  I know Riqui's really busy right now, that's why I'm volunteering....not to be confused with me knowing what I'm talking about, LOL!!!!  Really fabric & thread is the only investment needed.  Riqui has all the equipment.  My purses only cost me about $10 each.  So this is a really inexpensive way to see if you enjoy it.   I think Renee would really have a blast.  We laugh, sew, eat and talk dirty to each other!  LMAO!!!  Plus when it's all done she'll have something that's beautiful and that she can carry with pride because she made it herself.  And Riqui's a really good teacher and she can help you fix any mistakes you make.  It's like tight wire walking with safety nets, harnesses & cables.  LOL!!  You guys have my #, call me if she's interested.
