Well Hello to everyone over here at hrMINI. Just wanted to say hello and thanks for the great time at MINI's on a Ferry this weekend. I just got back from Afghanistan on Friday. So being able to come to an event so soon was very nice. I bet most of you saw Amanda and my Mini. It's the Chili Red R56 with the Checkerd Swoop on he side with the HUGE 33. Why 33 you ask... my favorite number. I have caught some flack on other MINI sites about having never been in a numbered event but isn't every day a numbered event in a MINI? So, as much as i want to do more with hrMINI Amanda and I will be PCS'ing (moving) to Naples Italy in December for a set of three year orders (mine, navy). So Red will be coming with us. andshe will be having many crazy adventure overseas. so check out our blog Mini Style (http://timandamandamay.blogspot.com)

Welcome! I saw your post about waiting to Autocross until after your waranty expires..No need to wait for the waranty to expire - it really only wears out tires. You can do it and have a blast without any mods to your car, and there is no way autocrossing would ever void a warranty. October 21 there is an Autocross on Little Creek, it's a great place to do it..you can always come and watch if you want to see what it's all about.

Well thanks Every one for the warm welcome. My parents are going to be in town that weekend for the autocross but thanks for the invite and we will keep that in mind. Hey Trish glad to be here. MPETUOS, I am a rolling Rock Drinker well was before Budweiser bought them up. But an Ice Cream Run Sounds like a good idea!

Welcome, Welcome - I kinda met you at the Towne Center parking lot on Sunday. Glad to have you and Amanda with you - Once you are in Italy you'll have to have a DET ITALY to post in and keep us updated on the adventures from abroad. There will be an ice cream run in the near future - I hear the ICE CREAM shops calling HRMini - I think we should consider a Doumar run since the last 2 were on the other side of the water :110: Also there are usually a monthly dinner - will check with Ben on getting one organized.

I am not sure yet weither we will be able to make that... depends on flights and when we get back! Amanda & I are going to FLA this weekend to see my grandmother! She is not feeling well and as we will be in Italy for three years i thought it would be better to see her now ....

So Jeff you starting a thread about an ice cream run? Just remember Doumars isn't open on Sundays. There's a neat ice cream shop called Handel's out in the Red Mill area - a scenic ride out to the ferry and then back for ice cream?
