I have been on alot of Forums that have Photo Galleries Associated with them... wondering if there is a plan for that here at hrMINI as well? just asking as it would be nice for everyone to be able to browse the member photos and see what kind of fun we have here at hrMINI...

Because of the cost we just have the photo gallery forum(http://www.hrmini.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,32/board,27.0/) for people to post links to their albums to save space. :icon_smile:

Ok i guess thats something to talk about off line in the future if you need help with that.. :090:. i also wanted to suggest that Google has a pretty wicked tool for mapping members... thought that we could try to make that work and get every one mapped so we all know where every one else is at... dont know if thats hugely appealing to anyone but i thought it would be neat as there a MINI down the road from us that we here a few weeks ago and has been gone for a while but we wnated to know if they were on here.... something to think about!

After looking at the Google page for like an hour! i found it

http://www.google.com/apis/maps/

this will allow us to map our location thru Google Maps & hrMINI! going to get more info on how to make it work right but... it could also be thread that could be "member only" or it could be a "pay feature" allowing us to make the site larger with more content! Just ideas from the navy IT guy!

Money means money administration.
Which usually leads to "This is what I want for the money I paid"

Storage is cheap...administration isn't. Coming from a NASA IT guy. :023:

Seriously though we could add a half TB or more fairly inexpensively but the discussion would involve Jim and whether or not it's worth the admin time(his) and expense(mine and probably Jim's) compared to using the free photo post sites.

Maybe Jim/Shannon can weigh in on this.

The map feature is pretty cool. MINI2 has had it in place for maybe 2 years now and it seems popular.
If it seems like most want it we can look into adding the feature and link it to their profile like MINI2 has.

If I am out of line i totally understand but i have been involved with a ton of forums , working on my own blog and all i am trying to do here is help out... I love computers and seeing that it is my hobby and my job, i am trying to figure out ways to help you and learn more about making web stuff happen so any help that you need i am there... not trying to cause trouble, just want to help.
