Some of us got into a conversation about car wax products and clay barring and such.

The totally awsome, no ruboff wax I was talking about is available here.

http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=Z-CS

Yes, it is expensive, but it gives you 24-48 coats of wax so that reduces the price to a dollar a wax job.

You can read the information on the product.  I have found it to be a great fast wax that protects for 6-9 months.  I tend to wax more like once a month or even more frequently simply because this is so effortless.  Simply spray 1 pump onto car.  Use a damp cloth to spread it at far as possible (slight iridescent residue shows coverage), then walk away.  Works on the plastic trim, windows, over decals.  It is extremely clear.  If you end up with a foggy appearance you used too much and just rewipe with a damp cloth. No white wax in the cracks and pits and no waxy residue where you bumped into the black plastic.

Personally I frequently clay bar after washing (takes 10 minutes) and top off with this wax (for another 5-10 minutes), then take a nap.

If there is interest in a claybar teaching school, someone suggest a place with some water and I can give lessons.

I recommend group parking where prom photos can be taken.

Town Center Map

Park Between Macy's and North Parking Garage.  Restaurant is near the W in Town Square.

Also speak up if your coming and how many.  I'll try to get us a reservation.

Alternate local Italian Place.  Bensi in Penninsula Town Center ('round the corner from the Pub).  Elegant in appearance (white clothed tables) pizza on the menu.   Could still do Yorktown for ice cream and walk on the beach...

Erika - you make the decision of where to go and a starting time.  After all you're supplying the girl! I'll try to get it posted to calendar quickly.   Start a fresh link called MINI Prom if you don't mind.

We all had a great time and impromtu is our second name so we had no issues.  The Pina Coladas are awesome!

Except perhaps the almost incident in the traffic circle?    065     I'm saying Steve is the bad boy and Mike was just following MINI protocol.   That's my story and I sticking to it.
598  Social Side / Hampton Roads / Re: It's OFFICIAL!!! 7th Annual Cooper Vineyards MINI event July 17, 2010!!!!! on: May 21, 2010, 07:52:26 AM
Suggestion...

We could plan a couple meeting places  then bring all those groups to Bruster's for the drive.  We should let Jaques of Cooper Vineyards know of the places since he can publicize them.

I will volunteer to drive to Crown MINI in Richmond to pick up a group and bring them to Bruster's.  I will have to work out the wheels up time.

Suggestions - 1.  Group leaving from Cracker Barrel in Hampton
                    2.  Perhaps Violet, Brian or another active DC Member lead a group from the North?

Then perhaps some flyers with the start-up places and times to start passing out.  I can do some simple ones.  I am sure Crown would help pass some out if we give them a bunch.

See you Saturday morning at the Sears parking lot!

BTW, the Facebook page says old Blooms parking lot... are you sure it's at Sears?

Pnut_jet - Sears is a premeeting place so we can drive the final couple blocks and arrive in a caravan at the Blooms Bros Lot.   It is optional.
