I wouldn't worry about the possibility of any mess that Anubis may or MAY NOT leave behind in their crappy loaner car if I were you.  Think about it... A little puppy puke is probably nothing compared to what they must be finding in some of their rental/loaner cars when they are returned !  I really hope that your sunroof problem is a "simple adjustment" as you said, but I'm betting that they have already made several, "simple adjustments" in the past, and you are still having problems.
Sounds to me like it is time for them to just replace the whole thing and stop trying to "adjust it"

Just wondering  Did anyone else out there get an advert in the mail this week from Passport Mini in Alexandria, Va. ?
We got one addressed to Kathy stating that this dealership would  soon be the nation's largest Mini dealer, and opening on 8-10-09. Mail flyer claims "over 200 new Mini's and 100 pre -owned cars in stock" . That's a LOT of Mini's 
Haven't yet checked out their web site, but am anxious to have a look. www.passportmini.com.
The flyer also claim's same day service appointments and the largest Mini service department on the East coast.

Way to far away from here to be practical for service options, but I'm looking forward to seeing if they have an inventory
of their new Mini's on hand posted on their web site. As I said, That's a LOT of Mini's  !

So sorry to hear about yet another sun roof problem on Tug, and the substandard loaner !  THAT REALLY SUCKS 
Am hoping that they can get the service done for you in time for the Chincoteague run this weekend, and finally get the problem fixed for good this time !!! 

Coupes getting run over ?  I think not ! The coupes in the club MAY one day be outnumbered, but never runover. Right Roy ?  I am loving the fact that so many new Clubbie owners are finding us and signing up as members   The more the merrier, in my opinion, and welcome to all

I have been having the same problem off and on with my passenger side window. I'll save this info and give it a try the next time this happens. Mine has always fixed itself so far, but it usually seems to take a day

I should have looked at the first post.   Meeting place is the old rest stop on the right just after crossing the CBBT. Time TBD. When I was over there in June, it looked like the restroom building at this stop was being renovated, but I did see some port-a-potties in the parking lot. Just a reminder for folks, the CBBT toll is $12.00 each way. EZ Pass does work !  Anyone only staying for the day and paying cash for the toll, remember to ask the toll booth attendant for a reciept and if you show that on your return trip the toll charge will only be $5.00. Anyone not traveling with the group, and not familiar with Rt.13 on the Eastern Shore, be advised, the road is a HUGE speed trap !!!!   The speed limit changes VERY often, and the Va. State Police maintain a presence along that road at all times. Also be on the lookout for LARGE and slow moving farm equipment on the highway !! Really looking forward to this trip We will have a great time and I hope we get a good turnout !  Talk about bad timing  I have been invited to attend another launch event at the Wallops Flight Facility on the Tuesday after our run to Chincoteague. I will not be making that run again two days after returning from our Club trip to that area

There was some discussion and questions about the meeting site, at Smitty's on Saturday. There is a scenic overlook on the left side of Rt.13 just over the CBBT, and then an old rest stop just past that on the right. Either should work for us but we probably should state which one to avoid any confusion.

Come on people, sign up for the Smitties meet up !  If you have never been there, it could be a neat experience, if you're a regular, you already know the drill and what you like from the menu. It could be fun and if I'm not mistaken they have some picnic tables around the back, so we can all eat together v/s eating separately inside our cars. No fun or fellowship in that    Kath and I will be there on Saturday. Remember the motto, "post it, and we will come". If any of you have a favorite burger/icecream/hotdog/pizza, ect. place that you absolutely LOVE, post a note along with a suggested date and time, and see who show's up.....   Go for it !!!!!

Sorry Dale, If I had known you were planning on a Parkway run I could have warned you off. It seems that a boat did a hit and run on some bridge supports at Queens Creek. The Parkway is closed until they can determine if it's still safe to drive on, but the news that I heard sounds bad. a VDOT inspector said it was lucky that the bridge hadn't collapsed   They haven't found the offender as of yet, but I'll bet his boat is a MESS !!

Had hoped to see a few more members attend this dinner, but Kath and I enjoyed the company a lot and it was a nice way to finish off what was a very stressfull day. I'm sure you know what I mean. Thanks again for all you do to help arrange these get togethers    Had a look at Apollo in the daylight this morning. We killed a LOT of bugs last night, and need to clean the car AGAIN
