I wouldn't mind checking out Let's Dish for a comparison.  Sociale Gourmet is the only one I've ever been to.  Plus if they have different meals it will add variety to our diet :)

darn, I didn't even think of the stone, and I have one.  We did the calzones on a cookie sheet and they where soggy on the bottom, but delicious.  I'll use the stone next time.

I'm guessing the real question is...who has to sell their MINI to pay for all the bills?  icon_cry

Yeah I didn't freeze this one because I thought the spinach wouldn't hold up.  I would definitely make some sauce.  I think what Social Gourmet missed was the Cream part and not enough butter (I use margarine and fat-free cream for less cholesterol)

Lemon Butter Sauce:
3 tablespoons lemon juice
4 ounces white wine
4 ounces heavy cream
1 pound (4 sticks) butter
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Chopped parsley leaves, for garnish

Heat the lemon juice and white wine in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil and reduce by one-third. Add cream and simmer until mixture thickens, about 3 to 4 minutes.
Slowly add butter, about 2 tablespoons at a time, until completely incorporated, whisking constantly. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat and keep warm.

We had the Chicken Scaloppini the other night.  Not too impressed.  The chicken part was great but had I known better I would have thrown an extra ladle of the lemon sauce in the bag.  The pasta soaked up all the sauce immediately and it ended up pretty dry.

We'll be having the crunchy calzones tonight.  That is a repeat favorite in our house now.

Bill suggested the Dragon too...as we were sitting in the trailer park...  It could work.  With the right planning I'm sure the police would help, especially since it supports a charity they can't argue with.

Yeah, you put together all the ingredients, which they have laid out with instructions, then you slap a pre-made label on it that has cooking instructions.  Almost everything can be frozen until you are ready ti cook You still have to do some cooking but it's usually "stick it in the oven for 20 minutes" or "heat this up and then add that"

Plus we get snacks and have lots of fun and un-pc jokes....

is there a schedule somewhere including what time the bands come?
45  Social Side / Hampton Roads / Re: Feedback wanted! Possibly auctioning off the first 10 spots in the parade. on: July 10, 2008, 08:15:59 AM
Gary's going to pay us a buck to kiss him  044 ???!!!

I think the auction idea is good, but logistically how would you pull it off?  On-site or prior to the event?

Only down side I can see is someone who shows up way early planning to be first and then getting kicked back 10 spots. Not sure how they'd react.  Of course if the auction was well publicized they'd already know.
