Hampton Roads Club Mini

Sorry I've been out of touch lately.  Life did some change ups.  One being that I traded in the MCS and yes I got want I wanted $$$$ wise for it.   Actually a little more then we were going to ask if we out right sold it.  It only sat on Hall Ford's lot two weeks without a home.  There's a sweet lady in Williamsburg enjoying my little Shelby Jr. now.  I hope the new owner finds you all soon. I was told that she'd always wanted one and fell in love with it right away.

So now I'm a trader to the small car and excellent gas mileage world.

Hey, one turbo just wasn't enough when the hubby drives a Shelby GT500 modded   to the hilt.  Yep, this momma moving machine has twin turbo and paddle shifters to boot.  I was really going for a more comfortable ride but couldn't pass up the more sporty and powerful version the SHO offered.  With hubby's discounts on the Ford employee plan and Hall employee plan combined I just couldn't pass the upgrade to the loaded SHO up.

Wifey no longer drives the smaller car...  


I have to admit that a piece of my heart went with my beloved MCS.  I will miss it and all the fun we had on the trips, dinners, and various other gatherings with all the other MINI/Mini lovers over the years.  We even still drive down the road and point out all the Mini/MINIs to each other.  Just no waves to exchange any longer.

I have lots and lots of MC stuff that I'll be parting with   soon I'm sure.  The biggest ticket item being the cool air intake.  I have the sunshade with the Cars movie eyes, hats, pens, pins, boot magnets, Route 12 (The Dragon) items, several different event shirts and hoodies, and so much more.  Whatever I part with I'll be sure to give you guys a shout on the give a ways or before listing on eBay.  

ThAnKs to each and every one of you for the fun times and events shared.   I will miss it all.  

I was really excited about this when it was in the concept stages.  The pics have changed up a great deal since then.  It's turning into more of a mom and pop looking small suv as I see it.  So much for holding out I do believe. 

I'm sure BP will not follow their own advice to our liking. 

May have to consider this one. 
 
Will there be lots of flavored creamers to enhance the taste of our coffee? I'll bring my own just in case.  

Oh, should I make the hubby co pilot the MINI or should I let him drive his Shelby GT500?  You know it's not one of those over priced high end foreign cars, just an over priced American one. 

The hubby says this is a Photoshop job.  There's no way.  It's a fiberglass over hang and will not support 2500 lbs. 

What's your take on it?  Hubby does private jobs in the local marinas and says there's just no way on this section of the yacht.

Cool story indeed!  Roy know has a popular piece, on his car that is.    Love the pic showing that everyone signed it before it's replacement.  Roy brought home a trophy and didn't even get a chance to race.

Hubby and I haven't made it to any of the pub meetings due to work schedule and being on the Virginia Beach side of things.  Maybe we'll meet up soon at something we both fit into our busy lives.

Think the hubby would let me mod the Shelby GT500 up like a Lego?  Hey, we already have a Clubman that looks darn good sporting it around.  He'd so KiLL Me Worth it  His forum buddies would like it.  

WooHoo!!!    Another chilli red Mini Cooper S on our VB road system.    I don't see as many these days.  I'll be eye spying for you and I do wave back, unless traffic is begging for my attention at the time.

Looks that way for now.  I really wasn't working hard to sell it.  If it happened it happened.  If not, I didn't care either way.  With the warmer weather I do enjoy the MINI a bit more.
