Yeah, that word CONCEPT is where is starts. By the time they play with it more and more it won't end up looking anything like the orginial concept we see here.

All the open area down the sides looks cool but would be very dangerous to be involved in a accident with. 

It sort of looks like the SAV idea that is suppose to be coming out soon but with a more open jeep like door/removeable top idea.    Or was that concept trashed and I didn't catch it?

Made it back home safely last night. We did way too much  , and then some track  , followed by even more to make our way to the FL Keys.  After a few days in The Keys we had to back track the entire trip with more  .  I'll have to check out total amount of mileage on the truck today and add the 250 miles hubby put on the Shelby while at the track.  Any guesses?  

Our Daytona track weekend was last Saturday and Sunday.  It rained it's butt off the Friday before and Bill didn't get any track time in.    He made up for it beginning early Saturday morning being the first group on the track   around 8:30am, in the rain.   He didn't push it but used this time to get a feel for the track and test out some pointers other drivers had been giving him over the last day or two.    The smile on his face upon his return to the garage area after his run told the complete story.    Later the track dried up and he was able to have a very enjoyable two days of way too much fun   on the Daytona track.  On his last run Sunday he did experience a problem during his very last lap.  He was getting really comfortable with the whole experience and was in the bank at about 160 when he blew a oxygen sensor in the exhaust.  May have damaged the cats.  Not sure until he drops everything later this weekend and gets a better look.  I'll post a link to his thread on StangMafia if anyone is really that into reading about his entire track time.

There was actually a Mini Cooper running with us. I was so excited to see him there.  He ended up reserving the garage space next to the hubby and I.  We had a blast welcoming him into our Shelby GT500 clan. He fit right in,  :045:well sort of.    He ate the inside of the track up, but didn't fair as well with the other high performance cars on the straight aways.  He had an excellent time right along with the rest of us.

Hoping that the weather Gods decide to bless us. Weather.com is not forcasting a beautiful weekend at the moment. 

Give East Coast Exotics a call and ask about it.    He owns both. 

Hubby just called me and asked if I'd heard anything about this.  He was at Dale's shop this afternoon and saw  your car.  He thinks  the insurance company will total it.  He described it to me over the phone while I was just about speechless.  Geez, just glad that you were able to walk away with just a little soreness thus far.  I'm sure you're going to fight that reckless driving BS.  The judge will surely ask you if you surpassed the speed limit while trying to make space between you and the tail sniffer, but I'm sure you'll be prepared for that.  I know this doesn't make things better, but hang in there and try to find that shiny spot among the clouds.

Dale, are you considering starting one up in the area? 

Bill's buddy over your way that owns East Coast Exotics also owns the BMW salvage yard in either Chesapeake or Portsmouth.  He could give you some pointers I'm sure.    Just a thought. 

Hubby was invited to drive the Daytona, FL track next weekend.  Not in the MINI though.    So we'll be leaving out Thursday trailing the Shelby, otherwise known as the Red Headed Step Child.  After his time on the track we are going to ditch the truck and trailer with a friend and head off to The Keys for a few days.  Hubby really looking forward to this.  Have any of you drove any of the track days there?  I understand it's huge.  I've only been to Langley and VIR.  Should be a blast!!!  I may be lucky enough to catch a cruise on the track with one of the hubby's forum friends who has a outrageously modded out Shelby GT500.  He's warned that his passengers usually get sick.

Um, we have a friend with the Rolls-Royce folks.    What kind of deal do you think I can get?

Sounds like everyone made it throught the other side without too much damage.   We'll be soggy for days to come I'm sure and just missed becoming long term water front property this go around.  Clean up is really going to suck.  Surely not  a weekend project.  Community yard of the month is down the drain for months to come. 

We never lost power so that's a good thing.  Most everything is underground around here so I guess that has it's advantages during times like these.

Stay safe everyone.  Clean up can be a dangerous situation in itself. 

Honestly I think pulling anything like a camper over the mountains leading to The Dragon is a quick death sentence for our cars. 

Well we are in low tide now and the water has not went down much from this morning.  I think this afternoon when the next high tide rolls around it maybe possible to fish from my deck.  Note, I don't  own water front property, but I may here real soon.
