61  Welcome To Hampton Roads MiNi! / Everything MINI / Re: Anybody know this MINI? on: November 06, 2011, 03:39:17 PM
That is one sweet looking MINI.  I think it would be worth the price.   023

It does kinda suck about the weather on Friday.  I was gonna see about leaving around 12 p.m. myself but take back roads instead of the interstate to make the drive out more enjoyable.  I have not looked up a route yet, though.

65  Market / Junque For Sale / Re: 1990 Thunderbird on: October 19, 2011, 08:56:51 AM
This looks to be a potential project/restore.  There are several Eaton M90s for sale on E-Bay, should the supercharger need to be replaced.  Here is a link to a rebuilt one for only $350.

Good luck with the sale.  I think $1K is a fair price.

Wow... ~$1K for cleaning?  That's rediculous.   icon_eek

Ya'll are terrible.   110   At least I recycled the ones off my old '02 MCS.   icon_mrgreen
70  Grease Pits / Mods - Engine, chassis and otherwise / Re: Brisk Plugs for 2nd-Gens on: October 18, 2011, 08:56:11 AM
Thanks for responding.  Yes, you have to gap the Silver Racing plugs.  Apparently Brisk does not make the Premium LGS plugs for 2nd-gens, which is what I am running.  Because of the unique electrode design on them, there is no gapping.

I'm on my 2nd set of Hankook Evo V12s.  They don't last quite as long as the Ventus V4 ES', which might be out of production by now.  But they are all fairly sticky and quiet, even after about 20K miles on them.   023

Welcome, Cameron.  You might have seen me around the area.  I live behind the old K-Mart and work at Ft. Eustis.
74  Grease Pits / Mods - Engine, chassis and otherwise / Brisk Plugs for 2nd-Gens on: October 14, 2011, 08:52:29 PM
Awhile back, I posted a forum article about getting Brisk silver plugs for 1st-gen MINIs.  Well, it turns out there are now options for 2nd-gens, too.  Here's a link to the associated NAM forum article.  Alta has them for sale here as a set for $59.99.  The electrode is not the same as the set I have, but at least you can have them now as an option.   023
75  Welcome To Hampton Roads MiNi! / Rants and Raves / Re: MOSS MINI is Off my "A" List on: October 14, 2011, 10:04:13 AM
I was informed there was only one set of tail lights in stock as of 9/7/2011.  How long it was between now and then that they sold is unknown.  What I suspect is MOSS' website does not account for active inventory.  So, if something sells out, they will continue to list it until manually updated.   092
