That subby does hold an A-series motor at the front. What A-series is yet to be seen! Patience is a virtue. Shawn And you just like to tease us. Have to keep you all riveted somehow! Your doing a very good job of it my friend........ just as long as it's not one of those "AAAAA thats a small block Chevy" "A" engines

Love the MINI's wheels! And who doesn't love a TR6? Good looking rides, all! Agreed The wheels look a lot like a larger version of the classic Mini Lite. Me likes very much....

Hi, my name is John, and I'm a T-Shirt Junkie. I know I don't get involved anywhere near as much as I should with events and all. But when T's are brought into the fold, God I just get weak knees thinking about it. Dale, great ideas, and the timing couldn't be better, as it's been some time now since this club has put together a nice "T" for it's members. Having said that, here's my input. Don't surround anything in Military stuff. We all know this is a very highly military populated area without advertising the fact. I'm an old ARMY dog and it wouldn't bother me in the slightest to not see that type of art work. COLOR, COLOR,COLOR, the first batch of "T's" that came from HRMINI had members cars and lots of colors, in fact, it was so well liked, I believe there was some effort to do it again with other cars. Unfortunatley I don't think it was ever done. The base color should be considered as well, white, grey, black, pink, will whatever is decided upon look good on any color background, or will some of the art be lost to it? Sadly, the idea department in my head isn't on the clock right now, so that's something that I'll have to come back with later. Good Luck, and put me down for a short sleeve and a long sleeve. Oh damn, that's something else to consider!!!!!!!!!!!

As I said before, the subby is something I've never seen before. Now that you mention Z cars, I can't help but wonder just what direction your taking your Mini? Is that subby going to hold an engine or just a fuel cell? And speaking of engines, if your's will remain in the front as Sir Alec designed it to be, what will you be doing there? Upgrading the existing lump, or is there something special coming in a crate from the UPS man sometime soon?
CURIOUS MINDS WANT TO KNOW!!!!!

I'm pretty certain that if your Mini was a 2000, maybe even the second to last to roll of the assembly line, it too would have some wonderful English engineering as well. Such is the Mini. And I also warn anyone repeatedly that if you really want one bad enough, that is the one item they all have plenty of (RUST).
That front subby is something new to these eyes as well. You'll have to do some splaining Lucy. It also looks like a very familiar shop to me. Hmmmm, Steve Gibbs place? I can't imagine anybody else having classic Mini's all over like that.

John on FaceBook?
He's too old school for that. I think he even has a rotary dial cell phone!
I thought that myself, he could aways have a teenager set him up! John, ya know we really love ya buddy! I would have responded to this yesterday, but the dial up party line I use (rotary???) had several chatty kathy's on and I fell asleep before they got done talking. Old school, yeah, I am, no doubt. I'll try the facebook thing, but if I start seeing any male genitalia, I'll hang up Dale, you do have my number?

Getting on the forum more often would be nice, but it seems the only time I can do that is when I'm out of town, like I am now. Otherwise, computer time is work time for me None of that time to kill like I used to have. It would appear that I am a very busy man these days. Not picking my nose of course, just busy. I appreciate your thinking enough of me to send a PM Steve. I don't care what Dale says about you , your alright

Great idea using baggie for the parts. You've been watching the other car shows. Good luck. I've been working on my 240Z for about 5 years now. Steve, I'd swear you had that Z broke down 5 years ago when I met you (for 5 years) By the time you get it done, nobody will even know what it is. Shawn, I'm glad to see Ya finally got started on the Classic. Have you found anyone to handle the body and paint? If not, I know some top notch shops that could take real good care of you once your ready. As far as taking these puppies apart go's, they are a piece of cake. I can't say the same about the suspension, as that's probably my weekest link, at the moment. I'd also like as many details about your whole build project soon as you know what your budget will allow.

Looking good John. Now when are we going to see it in person. Yeah Steve, I hear Ya. I'll bet your missing the times when you could stop in and see your bestest painter buddy and shoot the breeze for a couple hours on the clock.... Ooppps, I didn't mean to write that, I miss you too buddy. I'm waiting for the coffee and cars thing that I was told the Flag would be doing sometime soon. I did promise a salesman there that I'd bring the classic when that time comes. I'm now looking at slotted, drilled rotors, front and rear, EBC Green stuff pads, stainless lines, and maybe even some caliper paint to get the little bugger to stop better.

Those rims look pretty sweet! And I will have to make a trip over to check out that S10. If you'd like to check out the paint work on the S-10 we'll have to take you to one of my shops up in Ashland. These guys do some incredible work with an airbrush. I only wish I could say it was all mine. BTW, it's for sale, $10,500 for a 10 second 1/4 mile S-10 ain't too shabby. Just turn the key and go, go, gooooooo.......

Got the MINI all cleaned up and the wheels installed, balanced, aligned, etc....
WOW what an improvement, I can now hear my radio at low volume, I can't feel ever little divet in the road, my car steers where I want it to without arguement, and I think it looks pretty sweet too.
Comments and opinions are welcome.
BTW, the last picture would be some pretty sweet looking wheel tire combinations on a MINI too.

No ticket this time, even though I was in the range of 10 over out on Rt 360. The Trooper thought my window tint was too dark. It isn't. He let me go.
However, I think there was a study done at one time that really showed that speeding dosen't pay off unless your covering a great distance ( I'll say maybe 100 miles or more) and traveling at least 10 over the limit. Once the math was done, there was something like a 5 minute savings. Hardly worth the risk or cost when you look at it like that.
