Thank you, i do understand how it could be a very difficult answer but thank you for the link .

I do understand that many of the mini's today would not be the same color as when it was first built, but i just wanted to have in mind what the colors were.

now i haven't visited the link yet, but were the mini's produced like the VW bugs were, where the inside of the car was also painted the same color as the outside, that is for all the metal that showed?  My wife had a 74 bug, the out side was repainted but the inside was still the original Orange the bug came in, i believe.

No shark blue, no hyper black. :)

you may mean jet black, the color of MNI LIMO.

solid gold is designated as 24k not SG. ;)

Thanks April.. i corrected the Hyper Black to Hyper Blue in my second post. hey i was close for off the top of my head along with correcting the Shark Blue to Space Blue. also thanks for the 24k.. didnt think there were two of the same SG class. Now if we add the 15 Pre-names that changed when they were released that would be a stumper. example Shark Blue, Black Eye Purple and Burnt Rootbeer.

oh and here are some of the old colors

I'm guessing if I go over to TAPE (a local auto paint supply house) they won't have these in their mixing computer?  Or will they? Any guesses?  For OC, I had them do a computer color match and come up with the best match they could find....which happened to be GM Hugger Orange!  Now, with that, still valid, code I can get paint from any auto paint supplier.  So far, my matches have been better than I expected.

For all that I have seen - yes, any interior metal was/is the same color.  A good quality check for any type of a restore/repaint.

119 DANG!!! Thats alotta colors! I paint cars for a living, and I might add, rather well. If anyone wants to put a real individual look on there MC,MCS,MCSC,...you know what I mean ,give me a holler and we can talk about your ideas or mine. I've been wanting to do something diffrent for some time and I need some one crazy enough to go for it. This is not an advertisement, just a club member wanting to help if he can. ;-)

If you want, we will Volunteer our '74 VW Thing for any 'differnt'  paint job you would like to do, we are crazy enough.   of course it would have to depend on price.  We would offer up our mini for a paint job, if we had one.

I learn something new everyday! I did not know that the Solid Gold was called 24k!

If MINI doesn't put out a red that I like in 2010 (yeah Im serious!), Im going to get a custom job done with this red:

I think of it as a very shiny ruby red.
