Penicillin cures, but wine makes people happy.

We had Shawn & Mandy over last night and were talking MINI (shocking, isn't it?). I popped open the bonnet and look what I found:

The top mount on the coolant tank is broken off, and there is coolant all over the engine and heat shield. The worst part is that you can see a gray material on there - it looks like it was glued back together.

Cheryl had taken it in while I was on my three-month 'business' trip, so I looked on the service history on the CF website. Check out line 6:

1  MA15 C (Tech 140)
2  0054822 W LUBRICATING G RAILS ON SLIDE/TILT SUNROOF (Tech 140)
3  0 I INFORMATION NOTED/COMPLETED (Tech 140)
4  0055107 W REPLACING CRANKCASE VENTILATION LINE (Tech 140)
5  3112630 W REPLACING RUBBER MOUNTS IN LEFT OR RIGHTCONTROL ARM (Tech 140)
6  1711550 W REMOVING AND INSTALLING OR REPLACING COOLANT EXPANSION TANK (Tech 140)
7  0 I INFORMATION NOTED/COMPLETED (Tech 140)

Waiting for call back from CF...

Took her into CF this morning. They replaced the tank (free) and cleaned some of the spilled coolant. There is more work to do, but I can do it. It was time to break out the CD2 anyway.

I also went to Big Al's Muffler and Brakes today. My Milltek has always been a bit off center, but they fixed that for free. Great guys.

While I was at Big Al's, my 15% pulley came in too. BIG DAY FOR VENTIDUE! :D

I'm still driving around with my brand new Alta 2.0 15% pulley... in my trunk.  Do I sense a pully party on the horizon?

Scott's done pullies. I've done sway bars.

A time and place is the tough part.

As I said, I can host the location. Someone would need to haul the required tools up here though.

I have a 1 car garage. It isn't big, but I have not seen many big ones around here anyway.

Scott has the pulley knowledge and tools (including lifts)... we may have to get him involved - up to and including invading his place
