Is there solid science behind this?  Sounds a little too good to be true.....

Wicked power and torque curves, bet it runs like a raped ape, but that air/fuel looks a bit scary, kinda lean in a couple places.  Is that why your gettin the Lucky Dog tune?

AFR's are scary, I loaded the stock tune after that run.  I decided not to go with the LDG...It's on a line haul to southern ca. to get tuned --

It's going to Gintani, they can emulate the ECU, as far as I know they have the only tuner who can do that for the mini...Which means they can live tune the car while it's on the dyno.  Unlike LDG where they need to do a run, shut the car off, download info, make changes, upload new info and run again.  It takes about 10 minutes just to download or upload a new file.  Gintani can accomplish in 20 minutes what would take LDG 4 hours...Now imagine what Gintani could do in 4 hours  119  Don't get me wrong...LDG is in my opinion the best tuning solution for the east cost...  I am very excited, 250 doesn't seem that far, but I should be in the 240's for sure!  I'm really hoping to see the TQ break the 200...now that would be interesting --

That sounds awesome!  I had no idea that no one on the East Coast could do real time tuning.  All that TQ though, will you be able to put it down?  If not atleast it will look cool!

I drove Johans car for the GWR event, and man is all that power addictive.  It's a lot... but I don't think more will hurt a thing.  He'll get the power down, maybe not right on the line...but once you're going, look out!

There are some decent tuners here. LDG does do good work. It's just that Gintani is IT for ECU emulation. East coast or West.

Well things have been going crazy around here for me this past week...

After my mini arrived at Gintani the clutch slave cylinder went out...no drama but still a PITA.

Got that fixed and then it was off to the dyno...it turned 198HP...I know that's low but remember that I loaded the stock software back in and that brought the Rev limiter back down to 6850.

The double valve springs that we orded wouldn't work with the ultrik valves that I have...So we would of had to change out my vavles and the whole valve train (all because I want to spin higer than 8g)   I didn't really want to hack up my Abacus head because it works really well and exactly what it was designed for. So I made a decision to get a new head built.  Hence some of the drama in the for sale thread.  Everything is on track again, but mini will be in CA for an extra week or so as it's going to take about 10 days to build the head and get the parts in.

While the heads being built were going to CNC port match the cooler to the BIG valved head...Should flow nice and smooth...On the other end will be a new port matched 3" Gintani header and 3" Gintani exhaust...This header was tuned and tested on Randy Webb's race mule.

Then to bring everything together will be the live dyno tune!

So far this has been the best customer service I have ever had with the mini community.  The guys at Gintani are "Top Notch" and know a lot about makeing cars go fast.
