Hello everyone. My wife & I have a LY MCS we bought back in August 2002 that she named ZipZip. It's a reflection of how she drives. We  wondered if there was a local group. We had asked Checkered Flag periodically when we were down there for maintenance if they were having anymore outings as the last one we knew of was the Italian Job premiere they sponsored a few months after we bought the car. I finally stumbled onto your link while searching on the web. We're glad to find your group and look forward to enjoying some outings together.

Welcome to the group! I hope we have a drive soon. I have had to work 3 weekends in a row but will be through with weekend work in a few weeks (new job), so I will be more than ready for a good drive somewhere.

Hi and welcome to the gang!  Right now we've got one event planned:  We'll be putting sixteen MINIs in the Strawberry Festival Parade.  While all the slots are filled, we'd love to see you at the parade and before the parade at the Nimmo Parkway Sonic as we gather.

Our events tend to be informal and easy-going, without a whole lot of lead time so keep your eyes on the board.

Thanks. We'll keep an eye on the boards. There's also a guy who works with my wife, has a 2005 MCS, and was also looking for a group so we passed him this info. He's had his car in a shop at CF for the past few days but gets it back this afternoon. He had problems with the engine, they found a cracked engine mount, and his bonnet stripes were shrinking and peeling so they were also replaced. Car has about 20K miles. Have you heard of anyone with similar problems?

Welcome ZipZip, glad you found us. :)

There was talk at the Dragon about redoing a run we had a few years ago since the route is already mapped out.

Welcome Welcome!
I thought I'd read a blurb about Larry trying to get together at the Nimmo Sonic's this Sat  5/13 around dinner time to exchange/pay for/pick up graphics for the parade...will have to see if that's still a go if anyone's still game?

Trish, the post to which you are making reference is here:
http://www.hrmini.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?p=740&highlight=saturday#740

That's where glassdarkly refers to the 4pm meeting at Nimmo Parkway Sonic this Sat (5/13) to pay for and pick up graphics.  It will happen if Barry gets the graphics done on time for that meet.
