I can beat Jordan, but not with that much style!

Sean, do you have a PS or an XBox360?

My words of sage adviceon the matter...

1. Start easy and work your way up through the songs.  Just beat 'em, don't worry about how many stars.
2. When you feel like you're stuck on a song, go back to the easier songs that you've already beaten, they'll seem waaay easier than they did before.
3. Learn to use your pinky.  Medium is a good place to start leanring.  You'll definitely need it for hard and expert.
4. Once you've gotten the hang of using your pinky, change your fingerring:  Hold your hand with your index finger on the red, middle on yellow, ring on blue and pinky on orange.  It's easier to reach for green with your index than it is to reach for orange with your pinky.
5.  Learn to use hammer ons and pull offs.  Jessica and the beginning of Freebird are good songs for practicing.
