Greetings all!

This is Jim - you probably don't remember me.  I was pretty active in the HR MINI community in the 03/04 timeframe, even set up a couple of runs.  After that, my wife developed MS, got promoted which took up a ton of time, and went through a move which took 16 months from start to finish.  I'm happy to have been part of the world record and I'll try to make events as I can.

It was great to see Jen from DC MetroMINIs, and my dog Toby loved meeting everyone at the Sportsplex!

I'm fine, and happy to have had the opportunity today.  My schedule has just been nuts, and I'm trying to get it under control.  I'm ecstatic that the community has grown so much.    Sorry I didn't catch up with you today - it was crazy out there!

We actually have at least 5 MINIs at my office (combination of 3 commands), including the Admiral (BRG S, she came out today!) and a beautiful black classic MINI (7T3 MINI), so we have our own mini MINI group!   8)

It would have been a little difficult to catch up with me today, I'm in Las Vegas.  8)

Uh, yeah, right..     Surfing around I just saw that..  Are you out there full time?  Hope you guys are doing well!

The world record was a hoot - 270+ MINIs in the Sportsplex parking lot.  The VaBch police gave us an escort and blocked off the route, but people coming out of driveways and cross streets were exasperated at our convoy as I passed, and I was number 97!  002

Hi Jim, hope to meet you soon. I didn't join the family until I bought my '05. Looking forward to meeting/seeing you. I was #60 so I probably passed you a trillion times walking about  :D

Looking forward to it too.  I was one with a small dog, Toby, my Brussels Griffon who jumps at chances to ride in the MINI!  He was disappointed that he didn't make the news - the cameraman was petting him and Toby was staring into his camera

Hi Jim - I met you and Toby :)  Even though we didn't formally meet - I'm Laurie and I had my girl Sydney there - She and Toby enjoyed their sniffing one another.  Sydney goes on a lot of the Mini Runs, so she and Toby can become good friends.  Sydney's such a good sport she'll "allow" Toby to join us - just don't let him get the idea he can dethrone her and her status as HRMini mascot.  Hopefully the next time we meet you Sydney won't be a cone head anymore.
Cheers,
Laurie

Laurie,

Toby and I enjoyed meeting you as well - I have an awesome presentation with a great picture of Sydney that I'll try to e-mail to you.  I love the Doggles and the dog seat - Toby wants one!

Enjoy!
