Due to concrete nails in both rear tires CF is giving me complimentary new Perilli run flats through the road hazard insurance policy - am going to need to get new front tires soon.  Could someone please suggest a reasonably price tire source.  Had been considering giving up the run flats, but with 2 brand new tires that doesn't seem to make a lot of sense. So any words of wisdom that could be passed on would be greatly appreciated.

I'm a big proponent of ditching run flats...they are evil.  That's why man invented AAA if you ask me, or even Mini roadside assistance!

Good opportunity to buy new wheels if you're gonna change sizes!  I love how my Mini rides on 15's!!

Try to Google Perelli and see what kind of vedors are in the area. I know Tire City in Newport News can take care of run flats, but not too sure of where to buy a particular brand.

I highly recommend the Pirelli PZero Nero from Tire Rack, or the General Exclaim UHP... available in many sizes.

If you are looking at Yokohama's, Let me know.  I might be able to get you a pretty good deal.

answering the question asked:

I found the price for P'relli Eur' rf's to be pretty good via Tire Rack.

I just called Mike at Sports and Imports - a Tire Rack recommended installer - and he'd order it and call me when it came in (usually the next day as TR has a warehouse in NJ) .... then I'd head over and he'd hang it......  He never complained about working with RF's

I too have since given up on RF's .... but by the time you figure in AAA membership, I think it is about a wash!

I had Yoko ES100 .... nice but got 'loud' as they wore ... as noted in Tire Rack reviews.  Now running a set of Kuhmo (sp?)

The fact is I am getting TWO Pirelli Run Flat FREE due to road hazzard insurance - guess I have to find the best price for a matching set for the front end - it looks like tire rack is the cheapest (@$200/tire) now the question is where to have the labor done on the southside?
Thanks,
Laurie

Laurie, have you checked Ebay? There's usually someone selling OEM tires for cheap.

Actually, that was my point.  2 run flats will cost you as much or more than 4 non-runflats.  They just ride so hard! Not worth it to me.

I just did a search on Ebay, no one is offering OEM take off tires right now. But...

Someone in DE is selling a new set of the horseshoe wheels with new tires for $800. Fuzzy wouldn't be able to resist a deal like that.

I may have missed this, but what size tire are you looking for?

There are several people on NAM selling stock tires. I have had great luck buying from owners that change wheels and  tires weekly.

I however, change tires only  monthly. 8)

Mike is just a a bit east of 464, about midway 'tween 264 and 64 ... is that the south side?

The tires are 205/45VR17.  I haven't ridden in a Mini with "regular"tires and am comfortable with the ride I have now.  NAM is very confusing to me - could you send me a link, please?
Thanks,
