Wow, if we actually get to the point where I can make my own clothing, I'll be right there with you at 2 am for the Fabric Hut sale! Imagine me in custom clothing! That would so rule!
Yeah, being able to make your own clothes is WAY cool BUT by the time you are skilled enough to do that, you never seem to have the time for you ... call it the "Cobbler Syndrome" if you will, lol. You go barefoot because so many other projects for other people come first.
For instance, lol, since Saturday's sale I have made two dresses for Clarissa, 2 toddler outfits for Bailey, and did the binding on 3 baby quilts for Jeanine (she did the actual quilt part but hasn't learned to bind yet and since the baby showers are coming up quick, she asked me to do it for her since I know how and am faster.) I have one more sundress, a skirt and a mod Holly Hobby outfit for Clarissa, a toddler outfit for Bailey, 3 sock aliens, a purse for Marjorie to do before I can start on stuff for me but by than the Retro Vegas fabric will be in and it's time for another Scott shirt. Oh and there are the lap quilts I am going to be making with you guys on the 14th and 21st. So, yeah, the raw silk outfit that I have been planning on making and have had the pattern and fabric for since November will finally get made, uh, maybe September? lol Unless I put it on hold again to do Christmas present quilts and get some purses made for a craft show I have been invited to participate in. UHG - wish there were 3 of me, lol.
Peace,
R.
