Arrived in CT yesterday to begin house hunting.  Every hill seems twice as steep and curvy as when I left.  After a morning of schlepping around looking at homes, I dropped Mrs. Fool and the little Fools off at the hotel, and ran over to the office to drop off some papers.  On the way home I let Jester "off the leash" on some of the back roads (which around here count as anything but the interstate).  All I can say is "WAAAHOOOOO!!!!!"

I'll be back down in VA for a couple weeks once we've settled on a place - Terry, I'm still interested in doing the intake deal while I'm down there.

Sean, what part of CT are you in? I grew up in CT (near Hartford) and have some very fond memories of driving through gorgeous scenery pre-MINI. I took Marty up there last year in October (peak leaf season!) and we had a blast driving around southern CT. There are some FUN roads up there all right!! (There's a 12 mile stretch near Lime Rock that's supposed to be perfect for MINIs. I haven't driven it though, so I don't know first hand.)

I'll be working in Groton, which is in the SE corner near Mystic.  Anne will be either in Groton or outside of Hartford.  We've been looking in Groton, Mystic, Ledyard and Colchester for houses.  Hope to decide on one by the end of the week.

It's so pretty down there!

If you're into different foods, the Colchester Bakery makes amazing hearty Russian black bread. It's been there forever and has a great reputation. Check it out!

I've always wanted to take a vacation in Mystic.  Maybe someday will call you up and say "Hey Fools we're in town. Want to do lunch/dinner?" :P
