LOL - you must really like the quilting thing because you chose one of the quilted purses! Here's what you need:

5/8 yard pre-quilted fabric

OR[/u]

5/8 yard cotton, cotton blend or novelty fabric
5/8 yard low loft batting
5/8 yard medium weight fusible/iron in interfacing

Also needed:
1/2 yard contrast fabric
3/4" magnetic snap closure
thread

Optional: to make the shoulder strap adjustable you will need to get two pieces of hardware. One is called a D-ring, the other, I have no idea what it's called but it's rectangular with a cross bar - sort of like a larger version of the thingies on your bra strap where you adjust the "tension" lol.

On your primary fabric choice not suited for obvious diagonals, allow extra fabric to match plaids or stripes

If you have any questions, just holler.

Peace,
R.

Yep, yep, we had a good time.  Sorry you missed it.  We went to Hancock Fabrics and spent about an hour looking for all the items we will need.  Then we had to go to Michael's craft store for a few things they didn't have.  We had lunch at Jason's Deli and then pretty much went our separate ways.  All in all, I think it went well.  We'll schedule the actually sewing for another day.

I am doing a purse like the yellow one with the colored circles and the two tone ribbon.  Except mine wont' be that fabric.  You'll have to wait to see it.

I forgot to ask, does it have pockets for a phone, keys, make-up, pens blah blah blah...

And does it stand up like the green one? Or is it all mushy?

Riqui maybe I should run by and see them? Let me know.

there are no pockets in the pattern (interior or exterior) but we can make some interior pockets for it.

It is not stand up like the green one, it is more mushy.

Yes, you can swing by and take a look. I'll be home from work around 5 today, around 4 tomorrow but I fly to CA on Wednesday.

Let me know.

Peace,
R.

The small one in the upper left hand corner with the blue and white stripes? If that is the one, let me know and tonight when I get home from work I will post the materials list.

 Ok I was having a real blonde moment when I said the one I liked. It was the blue ,yellow and white plaid one on Angies picture #11.

That one looks like it stands up, and may be it has a pocket.

Sorry Riqui, I know this is all you have to do before you leave.  :?

Ha!  I'm laughing my butt off!!!  If I'm not mistaken, we're all making the same purse (different sizes but still the same purse).
