ZOMG! You sold the Mini?

Well folks, here is where I'm at in my search.

Decided I'd like a flat black look this time... no polished lips etc...

Edge Racing:
Flik
Bang (matt Black)
Size: 15x7
PCD: 4x100
ET: 40
Weight: 13.9lbs.

With 205/50/15 Falken Azenis 615
$696.00 mounted and balanced to my door.

Discount tire
Konig Feather  15X6.5 4-100 38MTB    11.9 lb. wheel
with Nitto Neo Gen tires (Good reviews on these...latest hot seller apparently)   $720 to the door

Buywheelstoday.com

Konig Helium  15X6.5 4-100 38MTB  10.6 lb.  with Toyo Proxes 4's.

Super wheel...I mean 10.6 lbs.... wow!  But I'm really unsure about this tire.  Have you heard good things about it?  Remember, these will be my dailys... Maybe you could look at their site and offer up a suggestion?

$733.32

Wheels Next.com

Speedy Racemod wheels  15x7  40 offset  13.8 lbs.  with Nitto Neo Gen's

$699 to front door.

Sweet wheels...the speedy logo is a sticker, so it's an optional look.  (I vote no sticker)

The best part?  I'll have about $500 to put towards R compounds to mount on my 15" rockets for autocross!   :D

good selection Ben. Here's one thing to think about the Falken Azenis. They do not like anything under 45deg. I had mine on the car when it was about 43 , and the car was all over the place. And the roads were dry. Until I was able to build alittle heat in them, they would slide in a corner in a heart beat. Just my two cents.  ;-)

Good info on the Falkens...  I do need a tire that will handle 95% of the four seasons we get.  Could care less about snow performance... I'll stay home thanks.  I think I'm gonna pull the trigger on the Nitto tires... now just a matter of the wheel.  I like the Speedy's a lot, but the light weight konigs are tempting.  I doubt it'll matter day to day though... they are still lighter than the 17's I had.

Go with the 7" wide. At the same time look into the 225/45/15's. You will want the extra width if they plan on doing alot of high speed sweepers like they had at ACU-4 or any local cloverleafs.  The 205 we ran are good for tight courses where short tight turning is the norm like at pungo.

These will actually be for my daily driving wheels Tony...  I'm planning on using my stock 15's for the R compounds.  The tire selection in a 225/45/50 is limited to track only type tires actually.

Yeah, besides the center cap and the sticker, they are identical Carl.  I'm guessing the same manufacturer.   I'm leaning towards the Speedy's at this point... I agree with Terry.  The wider spoke just looks much stronger than the little spindels.  If I was going for pure lightweight race wheels, it might be another story.

I pulled the trigger on the Speedy's.... get this, they're shipping a free set of Zenn lowering springs with my order!!  Hunter mounted and balanced Nitto Neo Gen's in a 205/50/15.  I should have them by Monday worst case senario.

Anyone wanna help me get springs on?  I'm clueless.

Last time I talked to Don up at DMH he had a slightly used set of Helix for CHEAP!!...it's a steal if you ask me!  I was going to get them but I'm leaning more towards the CROSS coil-overs...Give him a call 732-748-1964, just let him know that I sent ya...

I agree...I would want a rim that's nice and solid for hard core cornering...the 8 spoke just look like they would flex too much!  Which may not be true at all...Just me!
