I was going to stay out of the "my next car conversation" becuase honestly, my next car is about 10 years away (I keep vehicles until they either die or their repair costs become so outrageous I just can't convince Scott that it's still really, honestly worth it!) And since 10 years out, no one has a clue what will be available.

BUT I just found an article that has brought back memories. The story goes about 6 months before I graduated with my undergrad degree, Scott and I started talking about what my toy surprise would be. About this same time Scott was talking about his re-signing bonus. We talked A LOT about the confluence of these two events and for a short time my toy surprise was going to be bought with his bonus money - a refurbed DeLorean. I had been absolutely in love with them since about 89 or 90 when one of Scott's friend's husband brought his DeLorean over to my house and let me drool all over it. We even bought all the back issues of the DeLorean magazines, manuals and joined the DMC fan/car club. Than I just couldn't do it. I couldn't let him spend his bonus on me so he bought the Charger instead (yeah, don't get me started, lol) Well, summing up a long story, found this article tonight:

And now I am thinking all over again .... *  Le Sigh *

Peace,
R.

Well, honey, if you still want one as your next car, that can be arranged, but keep telling yourself this - a DeLorean weighs the same as Fiona, but has 50 fewer horsepower...

(I know, I know - Cadillac Northstar engine swap......)
