We have the sportplex once again for 2008. This will be a much larger undertaking. We will rent the whole facility including the Stadium and will incorporate a MINI World Soccer Tournament. This will be a day event tentatively starting at 10am and lasting into the evening. Vendors and Entertainment will be on hand. Please stay tuned for more info and if there are any comments or suggestions please lets hear them. MINIUSA will join in to advertize and promote the event and we have the backing of the City Of Virginia Beach also. Can't wait,
Looking for 500 this time. :D

If there is an event like that going on... where will everyone else park? :D
Can we invent some new mini records while we have that many people there? Most number of people in mini's simultaneously eating some sponsors food? Money making opportunity there...
Maybe the most Mini's blessed by the catholic church. Bless these Mini's father, for they have sinned. Causing jealousy and envy, wherever they go. :D

Got alot of feed back but please chime in. With the Stadium being in use the facilities, restrooms will be at our disposal. I am open to anything that will make the day go easier. We need new procedures to expedite registration. More volunteers etc. :D :D

Just PDF it and have people download it, print it, and bring the copy already filled in. Of course, you'll need tons of extras for the people who forget. 2) Separate the t-shirt sales from the registration table. Make a large visible sign for registration. 3) Make sure your volunteers are well instructed on what you need them to do. Some questions to think about-- Do your volunteers all have to be members of C7M? What sort of expectations, meetings, time committment will you need from them? Do you have people on a steering committee who have seen the big picture as you are envisioning it so they can help keep you focused?

We need new procedures to expedite registration. More volunteers etc. :D :D Some things to consider: - The un-paved parking lot was a concern to many motores this year...people spend a lot of time polishing and detailing their mini just to get ruined in the parking lot -the issue of rest-rooms, maybe some portable restrooms, but it seems you already have a solution for that -If you plan on having 5oo minis then the route is going to have to be longer...as it was this year there was only a 15-20 second window between the last car pulling out of the lot until the first car pulled back it. -There needs to be a better sound system for the drivers meeting...it was difficult for everyone to hear what was being put out. -Do you plan on supporting the same charity as this year? If you ask members from HRmini to help support, we will! We don't bite, usually  Thanks for listening! -- Johan

2 words... PAVED LOT. :D Not much I can do about that, sorry. keep the suggestions coming though. It is the Same Charity as 07. Will adjust to include the folks we forgot. The route will be longer, but I think the speed got a little too quick at the beginning. Stage and sound system will be there also.

If I am in town, I am more than happy to help set up/organize/run the event. I set up and ran the club in Aviano for 3 years, so I know what it is like to try and get everyone excited about something and do all the work. I also know what it is like when someone is willing to step forward and help out. Let me know...of course, it is all dependant on what the 'boss' has planned for me during the event. June is supposed to be prime time for me to take a big trip.
