Okay according to Angie, the following days are no go due to Autocross:

August 5, 12, 18, 19

I will be in CA from Aug 1-9, so obviously, the entire weekend of Aug 4-5 is out, unless you all want to go it alone without me? If so, let me know and I'll get you the patterns you'll need.

So the available days are now:

August 11, 25, 26.

Personally, August 25-26 is right before school starts and it's a seriously nutty time for me (and for Laurie and Becky too I am sure) Also I know there are some who do not want to wait that long (lol) but if that is what actually works best for all than I can work with it.

I get back from CA at 10:34 pm on Aug 9th, flying into Richmond and than driving home - uhg... so no guarantees that I am going to be super energetic on the 11th, lol. But enough coffee and I can fake it!

So there are the options - VOTE!!!!!

Oh and I like the idea of staggering arrival times by about 15 minutes or so, that way everyone is at a different "stage" and we are not backlogging on the iron or the machine or what have you.

Also - the munchies seemed to work well last time and I have to say there is a tie for the best munchies - either Deb's strawberries and dipping sauce or LeLane's chicken mozerella thing a madoddles - I dream of both, nyum nyum nyum!!!!! Thanks to everyone for bringing - shall we do it again?!

BTW - Sewing sessions are open to anyone and everyone who wants to come. Just give me a heads up if you have not previously voiced and interest and want to come, want to bring the mom, dad, sister, brother, aunt, uncle, neighbor, cousins' friend's kid's teacher ... etc, lol!

I will be out of town on the 11th.  I have a Doll and Teddy Bear Expo in D.C. that I am attending.  If you guys decided to to it on the 11th, I can make it up another weekend if that's ok with you Riqui?  I don't autocross, so the weekend of the 18th is free for me.  Let me know.

Yes, if someone can't make it the weekend that the majority votes for, we can do a second/different day.

Peace,
R.

PS - maybe even after work on a weekday if the urge strikes

I don't want to add to your stress levels.  I know you are leaving on Wednesday and you are scrambling to get everything ready.  Cuz with a statement like that, I'd be over tonight with stuff in hand!  LOL  I'm ready!

Trish and Lelane purse materials list:

Trish - the purse you indicated measures 6x9 when completed. Lelane has chosen the same purse except in the medium size which will be 8x11 when completed. So if you decide the one you chose is too small, use Lelane's list.

Trish - Pic #11, upper left hand corner, blue and white stripped, small purse:
Fabric types: broadcloth, chambray, lightweight denim, ticking. This is the pattern (albeit in the medium or large size) that I make quite often and this is the purse that Deb, Angie and Laurie are making as well. I recommend upholstry/ drapery weight fabric. There is a huge selection of these fabrics at Hancock's on VAB BLVD. When you enter the store proceed half way back and on the right hand side there are 3 tables of rolls and remenants that are usually 30-50% off.

primary fabric: 1/2 yard
Lining: (I prefer quilting weight cotton) 1/4 yard
Interfacing: heavy weight, fusible/iron in, 1 yard
plastic needle point canvas - 1 piece (available at Michael's or I have some spare you can use)
1 inch velcro square in either black or white depending on your fabric choice

Oh Riqui - we will be more than happy to cause a diversion for you - be prepared for "Riqui, how do I do this?"  "I don't get it Riqui, will you show me how to sew?"  See aren't you glaed you've got people to bug you when you get home.  Let me know if you want my Bernina and or ironing board and iron to help speed things along.  Also, can I work on both purses in the same day?
Ok - I'm ducking :)
Laurie
I guess this means I'll see you this SATURDAY :) Yipee for us to get you back.

I will see you guys on Saturday. I may not be able to say too long my asthma is still kicking my butt.

Anglea it sounds like you are having the same week I had for the last 3. I am sorry things are going bad for you. I am glad that the bad work days are starting to move away from me.  ;-)
