Does anyone know if there is a kit available?  I have been searching but can't find anything.  I have put over 30k miles in about 14 months.  Lots of highway driving.  Needless to say I have a tired foot after driving many 9-10 hr. trips.  I bought my cooper off the lot so, really basic.  I asked about it before I drove off and was told it wasn't possible.  I hardly believe that it isn't possible.  Just gotta find someone that can do it.  Any suggestions??

http://www.audiovox.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&productId=341067&langId=-1

I've heard good things about this from Miata owners...no data on installing it in a MINI though.

Not possible. Just barely possible to refit the factory Cruise. MINI is a drive by wire car, there is no way to manually cut into the throttle body.

Most folks buy the Muli Function Steering wheel, and add one wire, then the dealer programs it and you have Cruise control.

My flame car was without cruise, and I did a lot of research on it. NAM and MINI2 have threads about how to do it.

Basically, all MINI's have cruise, you just need to enable it. The one wire left out is the hard part, the Steering wheel is a piece of cake.

OOhhh drive by wire...got it...don't buy an aftermarket cruise control unit...as Fuzzy says it won't work.  Sorry for the misleading advice...all I can offer for an excuse is that I've never looked under a MINIs bonnet.  Didn't realize they were drive by wire - shoulda figured though.
