I took my car to checkered flag to get some warranty work done, and have an Ipod adaptor installed Monday. Just got it back today. They gave me a very nice '06 MCSC as a loaner, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I did have a couple of problems, though, and wanted some feedback. They said the car would be ready Monday afternoon, then kept it thru today (Wednesday), and never called to let me know it was ready. I still wouldn't have the Mini if I hadn't called them. The other problem is that there was plastic shavings in the center console, I guess from where they drilled the hole for the Ipod adaptor. Overall, I give them a B-. Has anybody else dealt with these folks? Any feedback would be appreciated, since they're the only game in town 'til my warranty runs out next year.

On the bright side, you had their car to drive, and do things in it that you wouldn't do in yours. (remember, half full is pretty good, they filled up the glass by giving you an MCSC for that long.) :D  :D  :D

Sometimes they get busy, but all in all they do a fantastic job.

Quite surprised that happened. Everytime I've had our car at CF for maintenance they've been very friendly, called when complete, described everything they did, and asked if I had any questions. Compared to Casey where we've bought a couple other cars from they're far above.

Our MINI is the third car purchased from CF.  I will not purchase a new car from another dealership in this area.  They have always been outstanding with MINI/BMW being the best.

CF is the VERY BEST! From the sales folk to Frank in the service dept. I wouldn't hand over my MINI to any other place for service even after the warranties run out.

You actually got a loaner? If I had a dollar for every hour I have spent waiting at BMW while they work on my MINI...

The quality of service at the dealerships here led me to the decision to go ahead and start modifying Ventidue! I can't tell you how much I am looking forward to getting to the States!

Frank and CF are absolutely fantastic! I plan to continue to buy my new MINIs from CF, even after I move to Vegas. Getting it serviced might be difficult tho.  002

I have to agree.  I've never had service this good, with an attitude this good, anywhere.  Add to that they are getting better...

Loaners are a dealer thing ...

and as I recall CF gives a loaner if you purchased from them .... and not otherwise.

You might be able to sweet talk them, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

****

the first time I took my 02 in for service they gave me a loaner....  a Lincoln Town Car  119   I wasn't sure I cold park it without 4 line handlers and a bow thruster...

(squid....you would have needed 4 tugs and a pilot?  ;-) )

I did have one similarity with your experience.  When I had Jester in a couple weeks ago to get the aux port installed, there were plastic shaving left in the glove box and under the center console.  I also didn't get a MINI loaner - I ended up with a Corolla.  Turnaround time was fine though.

A loaner is a loaner.

I didn't even get a test drive.

YIKES!!
I think I stirred up a hornets nest. I asked for the loaner when I called to set up the appointment.
I get a loaner when my other vehicles go in for service (Dodge) so I didn't realize this was unusual.
Guess they thought I was special.
Like I said, only game in town, so I'll give 'em another chance if I have service issues. Maybe this was a one time problem.

Next issue: Has anyone put a graphic on their roof, and how tough was it?

I looked into getting one done @ MOTD

Astet' Creations wanted $250 for the install on top of the purchase price.

I guess he thinks it's hard.... I passed; that brought total to $600...

  $$ better spent on OC!

Mike at aesthetic creations did my roof grapic. Great work, great price.

I had it installed by Car Stuff (Providence & Kempsville Roads) for $80.

Prices may vary, this was my experience.

I like car stuff.  they did my stripes and they are very reasonable.  I would recommend them and for tinting.
