WOW!!!!!!  That is some serious sponsership from MINI for that site!

I'm certainly happy we held the record, and now the planning must begin for 08  500+ MINIs is very possible!!!!

Mark your calendars!!

We will not let them keep it!!!    018

I am not sure they would qualify to break the record.  Unless I am missing something on that site the record is most MINI/Minis in a convoy or line.  Spelling out a phrase in a parking lot with 400+ MINIs could not break the record.

I'm having trouble finding the article/forum but I agree with Larry if that's what they did.

I toocould not access the actual event. But if all they did was form a bunch of letters and not acrually drive in the same fashion required by Guiness for the World Record, then I can not see how the record could be broken. Perhaps a new record for writng a message with Minis would be more appropriate.

Just my opinion.....

I agree, it makes no sense... they didn't appear to be a rolling caravan, just a bunch of MINIs parked in a parking lot.

Does anyone read Thai? I find it very odd that the web site has all the titles in English and all the text in Thai. Also that the words spelled out are in English. Does anyone else find that odd?

No big deal. Just gives us another reason to get together. We'll get at the Dragon next year.

I'm with Jenn on the oddness of English words used, but site in Thai. I find it hard to see what record was broken since I only saw parked cars.  If it is confirmed somewhere that the record the States won has been broken is the "Thai record" for 2009 since the 2008 book (I think )has already been published?

I tried to look it up, but didn't see it here:

But I may be looking in the wrong place. 017

ok, my spirit is crushed. if they actually drove or not is just a technicallity. they had 444 mini's there. 300 of them probably belonged to the king. either way i'm not a world record holder, anymore.
i'm gonna go in the corner, now and stare at the paint for a little bit...
