Does anybody, other than myself, do any machine embroidery? I don't have the capability to do hats but I can handle just about anything else. I just upgraded my software so now I'm able to digitize my own designs. Is there a good line drawing of the motoring badge available? It looks like it would be easy for a novice to digitize and something I could work on. I have one of the most comprehensive software packages available and can output it in just about any format so the club could use it for shirts and stuff once I get it done.

A good friend of mine works in a professional shop that does that all day long. She's happy to give us a great deal on whatever we'd be interested in. Just let me know, and I can make it happen.

digitize to embroidery format files - I have a cross stitch program on the computer, but when I open the logo there I get all the colors of red, yellow, black, etc. available. Would the digitizing to embroidery format help with having to change every color to just one solid color manually? Do you need the logo to be in any certain format: jpeg, giff, tiff, etc. or size? Sounds like a fun experiment.  |

Would you be able to take our signatures and do an embroidery piece from that. I'd love to get a polo with the Disney version of my car? I'd be happy to supply shirt and whatever for you to experiment for me.

Optimum would be a bitmap (BMP.) file. I need just a plain black and white line drawing. Something I can either scan or transfer to the software via thumb drive. It's not quite as easy as just scaning an original color drawing, I wish it was. I have to go in and plan the colors and the way the design stitches out. It's very similar to building a house, except you are building with colors and you don't know which is the foundation and which are the walls until you actually get the design into the software and move the colors and stitch points around until it works.
Letters and monograms are easy, I can just lay them out in the software, do a test stitching, and see if it looks right on fabric. I can do shirts if they just have lettering on the, not that big of a deal. I can even digitize True Type fonts if I have them. The shirt I had on, on Sunday, was one that I just threw together Saturday night.
I really want to try the HRMINI logo for a couple of reasons, it would really look good on a polo shirt and jackets (I do have the ability to scale) and before we leave the area in December I want to leave the MINI community in Hampton Roads something tangible that everyone can use.
