Not really sure about this one...the clubman I can see (except they stole the name poorly  as the original clubman was a Mini with a different front..came in saloons, vans, travelers,etc....new model should be called traveler, but that's neither here nor there)

I know for a fact that I will not be driving one of these come 2010.  If for some unknown reason I want an FJ Cruiser I'll buy a Toyota.... My $0.02..what do you guys think?

Yeah, but it has those really nice slit windows just like an H3...great for giving you an excuse for running over a small car when you weren't paying attention and talking on your cell phone.

It's definitely Mini Style! (cheesy blog promotion) I love it.  But no matter what I'm driving, I'm all about GET OFF THE PHONE!!!!!

Tim says "I'd drive it".

My thoughts are...great way to stay involoved with our Mini Friends, but still be able to tote babies around (don't tell Tim I even MENTIONED babies!!! ha ha ha)

I've never been in an H3 - I'm sure they are nice...I just laugh when I see them because of the tiny window slits...don't worry I laugh a lot harder at other vehicles on the road...but that's another thread.

None from me (tim) i like it too, i think its funky like the mini but hits that market segment that wants to be loyal to mini but a clubman isnt enought!

I like it, but mine is yellow and is badged FJ Cruiser. I guess everyone has to make a whatever it is today.

The Smart is going to come in a off roadee version also, according to press releases.  120

All I am saying is stick to what you know!

I am not going to buy a pickup from Cadillac, and I am not buying an SUV/SAV from MINI. It's like Jeep making a sports car. It just doesn't make sense.

I like the FJ. The real one.

Just remember why the MINI was so popular in the beginning...

i guess that i think about it like this....    BMW makes good (fill in the blank) I love the funky brand of MINI and i would at least like to test drive one. even if i never own one.  I know that i have test driven LOTs of SUV's and if it is half as good as the SantaFe and good for the money then i am there.  but if you are in the wiorld for an SUV and cant swing dome of the 30+k that most manufactures are putting theirs out there for check out Hyundai.  Amanda and I had a SantaFe 2007 before this, traded it on on the MINI due to our move to Europe but if were went moving we would totaly still own it.  (climbs down off soap box... bows, runs off with arms flailing)

Somehow that seems oxymoronish. Smart car...off road?

Sorry ....had to get a tow cause I got stuck on a pingpong ball sized rock. 100

Or is a gravel driveway considered "off road" now days?

I'm one of "those" people that don't own a MINI!

My understanding is the "Smart Utility Car & Kart"  aka ....... you figure it out.... will be able to doulble as a golf cart.  Hence the "off road" Capabilities.  This way, one can drive to the course and not have to park anywhere, just drive right to the tee!!    038
