Wasn't too long ago, I posted pics of our newest pup called Mini.  She was a very sweet puppy and loved to play.  Unfortunately about a month ago, she was playing with my other dog and some how she fell wrong and screwed up her back and nervous system beyond repair and we had to put her down about a month ago.  She wasn't even a year old, she left us way too early.   Ok...sorry for the sad news,.....BUT......

We got another one, I really missed having a small lap dog.  Mini was about 20 lbs and loved to snuggle.  Ranger also tries to be a lap dog, but at 55 pounds, my legs go dead after about 2-3 minutes.... so with that, may I present our newest little pup Charlie.  He is so ugly that he's cute.  He's a mix between a Chihuahua and a Pekeneese.  funny combo...  We got him through a rescue agency that looks for dogs before the get put down and put them into foster homes until they can find a real home.  I recommend if anyone is interested in puppies or cats to look for pets that have been rescued.  They usually aren't pure breds, but they have just as much love as one and maybe more because you know you rescued him.

Congrats on the new addition.  Ben and I have a chihuahua/pomerainian/jack russel mix.  She looked a bit like Charlie when she was a pup and turned into a very interesting and beautiful dog.  Her temperament is wonderful too.  Here is a picture of Aimee as a pup and one as an adult.  She's about 5 or 6 years old now.

For some crazy reason...we thought we would follow Jen and Marty and go for 3....so here is our lastest edition weighing it at about 12 lbs....she another rescue.  We were told pit/terrior mix.  She seems to be really really sweet so far.  oh wait..she just had surgery so that could be the drugs.  uh oh....

Rescue pets are the very best kind.  If you end up with one that was previously mistreated you can see the appreciation and love the animal has for a kind loving parent.    Great Job!!  023

We can vouch for that, As our BB is a rescue and he can't stand to be without one of us.

So sorry about Mini.   icon_cry

Charlie is definitely adorable!   023

I'll completely agree about rescue animals.  All four of our current pets are rescues (cat, rabbit and 2 ferrets) and they're the sweetest ever!  Even Tessa, one of the ferrets, who was very mean and bit everyone when I first brought her home is a softy now!
