Sherry has informed me that I have to go to Doumar's.
Something about the really good waffle cone and the antique ice cream.
(I may have things confused)

Ooh, the menu looks really interesting. BBQ & Ice cream? I'm in heaven.
But what the heck are "wet nuts"?

The date will work, but Doumar's? There's lots better ice cream, and BBQ, to be had in Hampton Roads... why Doumar's?

Aaahhhh..... Doumar's...... yes there are better places for ce cream..... BBQ too I suppose. But there is a place in history that Doumar's can take one back to. To hear the waitress' shout "I need a Limeaide flying!" or to see Mr. Doumar in his classis suspenders walk by and smile to the kids, that familiar aroma of of fresh waffle cones made off the same machine that was at the Worlds Fair.... Fuzzy, what year was that, you were there. Doumar's holds a special place in the hearts of many many car people. Covairs, Corvettes, GTO's, Mustangs, Chevy BelAir's have all cruised the old Doumar's in Norfolk. It's always a priviledge to roll on to the sacred parking lot.
Ahhh, Doumar's. Now Handels........ nice in a very new way......... and the owner does drive a MINI.

Okay, I can see Doumar's for historical value and possibly even ambiance in a trashy sort of way, but definitely not for food. I say we let Jim decide...

weeeeeelllllllll...... I have *sold* me MINI to a guy from Georgia, so I'm indefinitely MINI-less.. My plan is to "rough it" for a while and have just the BMW 335i Coupe (I've racked up 5,500 miles in 1 whole year on it lol) So I may not attend the Dragon this year (though I have my same Willow reserved if I want it)... But I would like to be included in the HR pre-Dragon festivities if you guys will let me Been chatting with Jim for eons online, would be nice to finally meet him.... So is it ok iffn' I show up in a snooty BMW -?

Ok, no keys for obe. I'm flying in, the Friday night before. I'll be driving down with Jenn & Marty. I'm not up to a coast to coast trip, especially if it means that I'm wiped out when I get there and when I get back. I learned that I'm not quite as young as I used to be last spring---a brand new sinus infection is NOT the thing to bring with you when trying to keep up with Gerard, Owen, & Alvin, et al. in Ireland, especially with a follow up over to the UK crew.
