Back by popular demand......

2007 Holiday Lights Run & Dinner
December 22, 2007

Meeting at: CP Shucker's @ 5pm
Address: 3232 Shore Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23451

We will meet there and have dinner then head off to the Botanical Gardens for the Garden of Lights Exhibit.

The cost for the light exhibit is $10 per car (see $1 Off coupon below).  I have a call into the gardens for a group rate & will post if they are willing to offer a discount.  FYI, this is the only holiday light show in VA Beach that 100% of the proceeds go directly to the Botanical Gardens & Museum.

Please RSVP (on this thread) with a head count for your group.  Currently I have dinner reservations for 15-20.

Just so folks know the Botanical Gardens are in Norfolk, not Va Beach. They are located near the airport.

PS - We went last year with the Hubby's Mustang Club.  No discount was offered, 086 but they strung PopcornEmoticon us along about it. 018  We also had the first car loaded with all the funds ($$/addmission) to get everyone through together.  They didn't like  :076:that we pulled over to the side for a few minutes to wait for some others to catch up 069 before going moving along.  So maybe as we first enter the site we need to get everyone lined up, before we get close to the entrance, if we want to travel through as a club.  023 If the first car pays for X numbers of cars to get through we should be about to get through without interruption.

I'm not trying to step on anyone's organizational skills here.  120 Hopefully this may help. 023

The plan is to leave together from the restaurant and caravan over to the lights (as planned).  At the restaurant I can collect up everyones money for the lights then we will go through first and pay for everyone.  Thanks for the tip.

It was warm enough last year that I rode with one of the verts in the club.  I got some excellent pics and video of the club enjoying the Christmas  114 ride.  I was only able to get a few cars in front of me and a few in back, but it was well worth getting just a bit chilled.

It's a standing rule that if you are driving a convertible on the lights run that you have to have your top down!  045  Just ask me & Scott, last year we froze our butts off.  LOL!!!

Not sure about the running lights, Jeff.  But please post if you find out anything.  Maybe call Frank & ask him.

Hope you guys can make it.  I put the 4 of you on the list.  038
