Ok everyone, the holidays are over 111, and My Mini is feeling awfully lonely these cold days 009.  Sounds like a good excuse for some dinner out! 026

So may I present a restaurant we haven't invaded yet:

WASABI Japanese Grill and Sushi
5802 E Virginia Beach Blvd
Norfolk

This is located in the shopping strip behind Logans Roadhouse and the Uptown Buffet on Military Hwy.

WHEN:  SATURDAY, January 12th, 2008  @ 6:00 PM

What to expect: Uber fresh meal expertly prepared in front of you in traditional japanese steakhouse style. 027  A full sushi menu is also available.  Pricing is moderate... expect with drinks and appetizer to pay $40-60 for two people.  I've found with lesser japanese steakhouse food the meats are all prepared in the same manner and seasoning... but Wasabi suceeds in preparing each one differently, and quality is exceptional. 106

Please post if you're coming so I can give Wasabi an somewhat accurate head count!  079

Count Steph and I in for this one. She loves the raw fish thing but I will get something cooked.

Bill and I would love to join in another dinner out with some Mini folks. 026 We'll have to make more of an effort to introduce ourselves and get to know more of you this time around. 045

Any chance of me coming across one of those really nice HR Mini hoody/jackets like I saw being passed out at the last outing?  Any left for sale?  Anyone willing to part with an XLarge one, for a price of course? icon_biggrin  I'm interested in any HR badges, magnets, etc.  I have nothing to show my support for this club. 102

I'm thinkin here that I have a NC Blue Hoodie that I can part with.  Also, there are some grill baged for sales here and there.  I think Angela has a few of the HRMINI badges with the Union Jack and I have a few of the Union Jack and a few of the Old Glory versions.

More than likely, I'll be at the bait party so we could settle up then.

I can get the badge & window decal for you.  The badges are $5 each & the window decal is $10 for basic colors (white, black, red, blue, etc.) and the price goes up for more fancy colors / metallic vinyls (i have the book of colors).  Just let me know what & how many.  023

Oooo... I just noticed that that weekend is when the Auto show will be at the pavillion.  054 Anyone interested in heading there beforehand and then caravanning down to have dinner?  Autoshow takes a good 2-3 hours if you're actually going slow and looking at stuff.  I guess that means a showtime at the pavillion around 3:00 pm, leaving 20-30 min to drive to dinner.  Let me know guys!!   026

Thank you 023 MPETUOS and Angela on your HR goodies offers.  I've sent a message back to each of you 045 instead of getting this thread entirely off topic  075 on my behalf. 018

I'll check with the Hubby about hitting the car show before hand if I see that there's interest here in that event also. 023

Oh now you're really bummin' me out!!!  I wonder what the chances are that our home would still be standing if we left 4 11 year olds alone for the afternoon.   icon_eek  Not good, I bet.   101

Count me in for dinner, definitely! Marty will be away that weekend, so I'll be flying solo. The auto show is tempting... but I was hoping to get an uninterrupted start on our taxes that weekend, so lemme think about it a while. I'll let you know.

I am in for dinner. I will have to let you know about the car show. And I have a NC blue hoodie too if another one is needed. I could part with a tee shirt too if needed.
