Hi, I got 2 waves this last week, unfortunately I didn't see one. The first was a red/white MC (I think) in downtown Norfolk. I was looking straight ahead and my wife noticed that the driver waved but did not have time to wave back. I never even noticed! I guess I was too focused on driving.
The second was on Colley Ave, an EB drive past coming from the opposite direction. We exchanged waves but I could not really see the driver because people crossed the street right in front of me and I didn't want to hit them. I need to practice my waving skills for sure!

John, It's possible the EB/W was me... although I saw a woman driving one same color down that way earlier today... so who knows! My windows are tinted very dark, so that never helps any wave action.
If you ever have any performance questions, let me know, I'll put my little brain to work for you.

I have a bad habit of waving like a fool to anyone I see in a MINI, whether i am in my MINI or not. Its a great way to get strange looks!
My brother is a VW fan, and has been proudly reporting getting the V-Dub sign from the tv adds.
I have concluded what we need is a MINI/mini "gang" sign we can flash to drivers of MINIs if we are driving incognito. (i cannot belive that MINI USA has not tapped in on this!)

Monday was a good day for MINI spotting: First I saw the red/black Cooper from the autox going through HRBT in the morning, then spotted Doug on 564 at lunch. Exchanged waves with both. :)

I'm afraid the American Fingerspell sign for "M" (first, second, and third fingers folded over a folded thumb) couldn't be recognized from a distance. How about first, second, and third fingers splayed downward in the form of an "M" with the thumb holding the little finger? Bob |

It was suggested by my Motoring Advisor Simon at CF to flash lights at oncoming Mini's. Seems to work for me most of the time. But I also wave like a fool while flashing.

That was me in the EB/B on 64 yesterday. Figured you were too busy
preparing to turn-off to wave back. Soon will be a two-MINI family as
I ordered an 06 MCSCa today for the XYL.
I also flash or "tip" my high beams upon seeing another MINI. But I
will wave if I can see the other driver and the traffic is'nt too bad.
