Probably referring to "Compensating" like the Mini shirts & bumper stickers that can be bought with the phrase  "What are you compensating for?"

Ok... so dragging up an old thread as my first post but I thought it kind of funny that I saw the CMPNS8N tag as a I browsed the forum before joining.  That owner of that car lives across the street from me.... the car has been telling me for a long time to go buy a Mini.
