Not a joke do I have, but I just finished watching on PBS the History of the MINI. Only went for 30 min. so I guess it was a "Mini" MINI History. Pretty interesting though.

I just got back from my open house in Marsh Creek in Chesapeake. The weather did not cooperate and traffic was light.

OMG and Jason didn't post about the hot babe he showed a Mini S to earlier today??? I brought my sis out there; she just graduated from Longwood w/her Masters and will be back to see Jason soon for a purchase as soon as she gets her contract finalized. And I'll tell you what, we drove an S and at first I totally :roll: rolled my eyes at it thinking my lil sis didn't need one, but I about fell in love with it  ...thinkin of a trade |

was there a tear in the eye of both the new and former owners ;-) Fuzzy has been a bear all week over the idea of Phyr Fly being gone. He's sure that he gave up a car he loved to get a car he's not going to like nearly as much. He'll be ok when he gets his GP in August. :) |

When I first got Peanut my thought was to keep her bone stock... then I went to AMVIV I. On the way up I was talked into replacing the air filter because I'd been driving around San Dog the previous fall during the fires (the largest fires in history) so my filter was probably full of ash and other gunk. Since no one had a simple replacement filter (I wonder about that...) I ended up getting an Alta intake installed. After driving the car with the Alta I was done for! The Mod Bug had hit! The biggest mod was getting the JCW kit installed last March; it was 3 years to the day since I took delivery. What a birthday present Peanut got! I guess there isn't a whole lot more of an upgrade than that without trading her in. I'm still very happy with my first MINI. Since I always planned to keep her into the vintage years I really don't see myself trading her in. At some point she will become a garage queen/weekend car, but for now she's my daily driver. At some point we may get another MINI (the Clubman Traveler Frankfurt makes me drool!), but I still hope to keep my first! Jenn |

On the other hand,
I'm heading for my 3rd MINI & have started dreaming about the 4th one...
If MINI builds it, I'll probably fall all over myself trying to lay my hands on a JCW AWD Traveller S. :drooooooooool:
