Hey guys, I want to get a new clutch and a lightweight flywheel. I have about 70000 miles on Trixxie and had some work done on her. The mechanic said the clutch was getting close to her end, and had two other mechs check it. They all came to the same conclusion, noting that I have life left in it, but it is gettign close to its end. I do drive her hard, bad at showing off and doing burn outs to the amusement of my friends. They work at waffle house, and it gets boring at 3am there. Nobody else there. Then there is the mtn driving, which can get pretty hard. I am looking at doing some AutoX events this year, and deffinately some performance driving experiences when I get up in the area, assuming I can get a spot at one. Sorry, dragging out on this one. What is ya'lls experiences with various clutchs and flywheels. Thanks.

I'm sure you've seen the other clutch thread right below your and I can't add anything too it.

Hard driving and mountain roads don't really hurt your clutch (unless your dragging it) but burn outs will kill it in a hurry. With autoX you only use the clutch to launch and shift into second. Once your in second you just drive and brake. The big tracks are the same way with only a couple of shifts on the straights. The less time you spend shifting is the more time your on the gas and it makes everything much smoother.

Well, just an update. I have the Spec Stage 2 clutch with Fidanza Flywheel installed now. Got a little metallic chatter, but it is not bad. See you all soon.

Would you mind providing the 411 on cost, time involved, etc?  This will give me an idea of what I have to go through when I decide to replace my clutch and flywheel.  Thank you.
