Good morning, gents and ladies. I am the 2nd owner of an '02 MCS. I have had it since August 2005, having purchased it from a friend of mine. He used to frequent this board, so the Cooper may look familiar to you all. The rally stripes are gone, the result of a new paint job from having been in two wrecks last July and October. However, don't cringe at the thought of that. I have made sure my Mini is in tip-top shape. It has over 86K miles and counting.
Alot has changed since I bought it. It's the dealer demo that was at Checkered Flag Mini back in '02. My friend purchased it in August 2003 with 4K miles on it. At the time, the '02 had a KW suspension, the skid plate, and the BBS RK rims. In additino to what's mentioned below, I have had the windows tinted, have Sirius Satellite Radio, all Kicker speakers, Kicker 300W subwoofer, and Kicker 200W amp.
Hopefully, this year, I can get around to the engine mods. Not many... but the bare necessities. I plan on getting the 15% pulley, lightened crank pulley, cold air intake, Alta 2.0 intercooler, Palo Uber hood scoop, spark plug Live Wires, and an SMT-6 piggyback computer reprogrammer.
I have been doing computer work for over 16 years. I am currently working for GDIT as a Blackboard administrator. I plan on attending some of the events you all post here, including the car show in Williamsburg next month, and possibly the Dragon's Tail event as well (at least the weekend). I REALLY want to attend the rally event at VIR, but I cannot commit just yet.
