I think a lot of the folks from here are doing a caravan down to Fontana starting Wednesday morning at 6:30.  The info about it is on the MOTD #6 2008 thread right above this one.  Have you registered on NAM for any events?  They list who is attending what.  There is a Dragon registration link on the top left of every page there that you can click then click the Event Planner link and then you can click events and see who is going.  003

We're signed up for the ice cream run to Soda Pops.  We went last year and it was very yummy!  Just remember to bring cash.  We're heading out with a group from the dam after the photo shoot.  You should join us.   023

The Biltmore gardens will be having their Festival of Flowers, April 5–May 18.  The estate should make a very pretty picture that weekend.  Can easily spend a whole day there just exploring the "house" and property.

OK.  I'm planning on going to the Dragon 2008 event for the weekend.  I am going to take off half day on Friday to get started on the drive down there.  MisBehave, please post or PM me the details on who has a spare room available and at what price.  Thank you.   icon_cool

OK, OK.  I know this is short notice, but does anyone have a spare bed in their room?  I'm certainly willing to split the room fare.  I was supposed to get a room at the Microtel Inn, but it's already booked up.  I have three options (based on price):  Carolina Motel in Franklin, NC, Best Western in Murphy, NC, or the Princess Motel in Maryville, TN.  They're all about $60/night; I have not made any calls yet.  I will be leaving early afternoon on the 2nd and leaving on the 4th.  Thanks.

Isn't the Dragon (US-129) what connects Maryville and Robbinsville?  I think that's where the AutoX was held 017

According to Mark's post last night at 5:16 there were rooms that just came available due to some cancelations.  You may want to call again....
