I was just wondering, where do you get your spare parts from over here in the US.  Having moved from England I am kinda used to being able to find parts in the junkyard or the mechanic being able to just order them (I am going to miss him, he has been working on minis for 20+ years, lol), and now know the easy times are over.  I know of Mini Spares, Mini Mania, and DSN classics, but was wondering if there are any more.  Also, is there someone in the area that is a well of knowledge for working on classic minis?  I tinker, and know just enough to make myself dangerous.  Thanks!

I like to order stuff from seven enterprises.  They used to be based in Newport News, but they packed up and moved to Northern California.  (http://www.7ent.com/indexa.cfm).  One of the owners lives here.

As far as local help...you need Steve Gibbs. ( http://coopertune.com/).  He is a wealth of knowledge and has a very interesting shop full of Minis and parts.

Sorry I haven't gotten back, been out sailing around for a few days.  Thanks a lot for the info, much appreciated.  Good to know there are some experts in the area.  MD, I might have to be talking to you in the future here.  I am planning on redoing the seams on the mini and fixing some other minor imperfections on my baby.  As we all know, rust comes free with a classic mini!
