New Mini owner here and drove it off the showroom floor alittle over 2 weeks ago. Whats funny is we were looking for my wife a car and ended up buying 2 Mini's..........LOL

The wifes hasnt arrived yet but is in production now and she has had fun driving mine. I was paying $400+ a month in gas for my Yukon XL and for that cost I could get a good gas saving vehicle. She was paying $300+ a month in gas so we should save quite abit. The Mini is a fine vehicle and were both happy to get one. We both got the same color but mine is a stick and hers is automatic.

We decided to not get the S cause the main thing was to save money on gas.  We look forward to becoming part of the Mini family and taking part in all the cool activities that you guys/gals got going on.

Ive been reading about the July 26th event for the record and I will say myself and my wife will be involved for sure.

I know there is a guy here on the board that drives a Red Mini with the british flag on the top and on the mirrors and has white rims. You had mention you had some website that sold Mini stuff. I have seen his car in alot of the pictures also. Myself and my wife were looking at the new smart cars when you drove up in your Mini. You should get a commission cause its because of you that we even went over to the Mini dealership to begin with.

Hey Bill...welcome to HrMini!  I'm anxious to see both of your cars.  I think that's awesome how much you'll save on gas... amazing.  You won't regret not having an S... Coopers are just as fun, maybe more so in some ways.  I sometimes think of switching to one for the fuel savings, but geez, I can't seem to give up that addictive power.   080

I've got a "Justa Cooper" also. Alot of the time I wish I had an "S" but then again I like beating up on faster cars.

Thanks for all the Love.......I cant wait for the wifeys car to get in so she can have hers with her. She is excited and patiently waiting. I bought some stripes for mine and have even given him a name already. His name is CHECK cause I will have it duked out in checkers cause when I was a kid I always wore Vans that were checkered on the front and back.

I think I will go buy me some more slip on Vans that are checkered to match the whole checkered theme of my car.

Im looking forward to meeting everyone and me and the wifey stay up last night till almost 1am looking over this forum and 7cities site also.

Welcome, welcome - do we dare assume that "Check" is pepper white or BlacK?  Give us some details on the cars.  We love to expand our family and friends in the MiniHood.

Welcome, welcome!   039 039 If you're already buying stripes, you're going to fit right in!   Just beware, the modding bug is pernicious, hard to satisfy & an eternal addiction.  I speak from experience.  I bought a pair of prescription sunglasses one time, simply because they would match my next MINI---this was 6 months after buying the first MINI.   icon_mrgreen 002

Well we both got the same color Onyx Metallic Black

Mine is 6 speed while hers will be Auto.

She got the Sat radio I didnt.

She got the butt warmers I didnt.

I have 16 inch wheels and she has 15s

We got 2 different types of rims also.

I have the sunroof where as she didnt want it. ( I already got the sunroof checkered too....LOL)

She got the leather and I went with Cloth but its black on black checkered so looks cool.

Heres some pictures of mine. Its dirty and in the Garage so they arent Great.
