Welcome...
Nice MINI!! Can't wait to meet you and your wife and see both MINI's. Love the color too.
Jim is right you know, once you start doing mods there is no turning back. It's like a sickness that you never seem to be able to stop. Looks Great!

I remember asking him "didn't it come with one?" We had the same UPS or maybe FedEx guy whose route was the same for home and my work that he became so accuainted with us with the home deleviries he would recognize me at work and ask if I just wanted to accept Terry's there if nobody was at the house.

Well my wife is at work and Im bored so I guess I will tell you all alittle about myself and my wife.
Where to start ???
Well we have been married for 20 years this July and have a 20 yr old son and a 17 yr old daughter. Our son is at Job Corp now and has joined the Army on the delayed entry program and will go to Basic when he is done there. My Daughter is done with school and works at Quiznos and want to move to Fla to attend art school when she turns 18.
Myself and my wife met long long ago when I was 15 and she was 12.....Yeah you saw that right she was 12. Though we didnt date then I have known her that long. I was in the Army for 9 1/2 years till I got hurt in 1990-91 timeframe and was medically retired in 1994 cause of said injuries. I now am a Fiber Tech for Verizon and my wife owns a Florist in Virginia Beach. Great Neck Florist and Gifts located at Shomiers off Virginia Beach Blvd.
She is really good at what she does and has always had a passion for flowers and plants since she was a child working with her Grandfather in his yard. His yard looks like something out of Better Homes and Gardens Mag.
I really think we will like being part of the Mini Family cause it will give us time together doing something with friends that we love..........Cars
Im 41 and Tonia my wife is 38. Im from Virgina Beach born and raised till I was 15 when my father moved to Taylorsville NC where Tonia is from. Taylorsville is near Hickory and Boone NC. I have read alot of this board and others and kept seeing the words Dragon Run. Doing my research I found that its in the western side of the state in NC very close to where Tonia is from. She will be excited that its so close to her hometown and we will look forward to doing it maybe not this year but next since there isnt enough time to plan for this year already.
So there you got it........Thats me and my wife....
Later all.
Bill

Well if she's from the same part of the world that gaves us The Grove Park Inn, The Jarrett House, Dry Falls, panning for gold and The Dragon...... well she must be just fine. My family vacations out in Maggie Valley every October and I have a few inlaws from Dillsboro! It's a small MINI world!!

Looking forward to meeting all, you, the wife, and of course the cars I'm leaving my "S" all stock for the wife (auto trans. too). One day it may be one of those concourse collectibles for that reason alone. None the less, it'll stay with us till death do us part. I'm saving all my MODS for the Classic. I got a fever too.........and I'm not too sure about "COWBELL" doin it.

Welcome to the gang! The S only drinks as much fuel as you give it. If you are a conservative driver, you can still get 28-30 MPH in city. I do. I can at least say I am impressed with the newer regular Minis. I had the blue '07 as a loaner back in December for about two weeks, and it's pretty peppy for about 120 HP. Even though mine is True Silver, I'm envious of the Dark Silver and the Astro Black.

The Eagle has landed. She picked it up today. I have noticed 1 major difference in the Automatic which is hers and the stick which is mine. The Auto has a much smoother ride and you dont feel the bumps in the car as much as you do mine. Is this normal or should I have it looked at on my mini ??
