There has been talk in several different topics about driving to the Dragon. Steph and I plan to leave Wednesday morning. If anyone wants to meet up and caravan to the dragon we will be leaving from the Hardee's on Route 58 in Suffolk. The address is 1508 Holland Road. I plan to leave at 6:30 A.M. It is about an 8 hour drive to the dragon. This will put us at the hotels between 2:30 and 3:00. This is enough time to check in, unpack the car, rest a few minutes and then get ready for the welcome dinner. The easiest way to get to the Hardee's is to take route 58 by-pass around Suffolk (follow the signs towards Emporia). This is the same one we have meet at the last few years. Jim, that means you'll be getting up before you go to bed, California time!    Actually, we'll have to get up around 4:00 to leave the house by 5:30, since we're taking the poopies with us. Anyone who has to come down 58 to Suffolk may want to check the traffic reports tomorrow morning. Currently there are parts of 58 that are closed and the parts that are open are extremely backed up.

OK, I will be going to the event on Friday. I'm staying at The Princess Motel in Maryville, TN. GPS and Google pick I-64 out to Staunton, then I-81 south right to Knoxville, with an anticipated time of 8 hours and 19 minutes. I may take U.S. 58 to I-81 as an alternative. Can some of you PM your cell phone numbers so I have someone to call when I get there? Thank you.
