On Wavy 10 this morning they said that the BP is $3.66 and the Hess is $3.65. They've both lowered their prices till the end of the month because they said that fuel prices are getting carried away and they wanted to do something to help people out. Pretty cool of them.

Kudos to BP and Hess for stepping up to the plate!!! Too bad some of the other bigger gas companies can't do the same and discontinue some of their recent record profits. Exxon comes to mind.

Drove by the BP on Princess Anne & South Plaza and they are up just a bit from yesterday afternoon ($4.02). The Hess on P.A. close to Salem Road has their gas listed at $3.95 on their sign, but when I got to the pump it was still at $3.90 a gallon - so I got 6 gallons for $24. In light of things not to shabby a deal and yes - it is the HIGH TEST! Somewhere I read that it is better to fill your tank in the AM and that you should not let it get real empty before refilling do to vapors filling the tank and such - wish I remembered the logic better to share, but I have taken to filling up at a half tank in the AM and I am getting more miles per gallon - more than likely I am actually getting a bit more fuel. This is making me think back to the gas lines in my early driving days and we were upset about those prices - wow little did we know it would get this bad.

I read about this too, but a few after that I read another article that said it's a myth and gave reasons why it doesn't work. Jenn

That is like WAY cool; but I think thats just for regular grade.... Also, good to hear about the filling the tanks in the AM and someone actually getting better gas mileage out of it; snopes.com claims that theory is a farce

I took the pickup to the Exxon station because regular was $3.83. I use the pickup to haul stuff for the yard and to take more stuff down to the marina. I also took my portable tank that I use to fill the John Deere, and the other lawn equipment. I was pumping away and the gas flow began to slow and then stopped. I looked at the pump and it was an even $100. I had to insert a different card to get the last $20 worth. Perhaps I will sell the house with the big yard and buy a condo!
I was in Hawaii last week, so Colleen had to fill the MINI for the first time since we bought it. Needless to say, she was shocked.

Hey it's still a whole lot cheaper than most other places - as I mentioned the sign said one thing yesterday and when I got to the pump it was 5 cent cheaper. At this point premium under $4/gallon is good in my book.

Last night around 7:30 pm I topped off once again at the BP on Princess Anne and South Plaza at $4.08 a gallon for premium. I'm living on topping off alot lately just to get the better price at the time.

This went into my work trucks tank yesterday. Some guy walking into the station is looking at this numb nutz taking a picture of the gas pump with a "What the?" look on his face. LOL Anyway, the 93, 4-banger Ranger will make this last about three to four days going back and forth to work. About 12 miles a day!
