Please note Sean that was 87 octane @ $3.93/gal at the local Petrol on Warwick Blvd. That was the cheap for the day.

I later managed to get "High Test" as some remember it, at Yorktown WalMart for $4.06/gal.

Wow, when was the last time you heard it called High Test? Could be the making of a new thread  045

Speaking of high test. I remember my father explaining to my mother why we needed to pay 36 cents a gallon to fill his playtoy car with AMOCO "white gas". Of course the average person was making 8K a year, and a new Caddy convertible was only $6000!

The Italians are paying 1.50 Euro a liter....  roughly 12$ a gallon  we pay about 4.50 a gallon as service members out here so we get a STEEP discount....   but Germany will be different

Has anyone located a station that carries an octane higher than a 93? I'd like to try out their gas if I find one with a 95 or 97 ..

Topped off on the way back from the Mini Takes the States driving 044 across Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel.  Did I say, 102 what a blast!!! 023

Oh gas. 119 A little after 12 noon today the BP's (yes, both) on Princess Anne Road were $4.04 for premium and $3.77 for the lowest grade.  I spent almost $30 just topping off, what the heck!!! 103

I took that photo June 13th and still have almost half that in the tank on Friday, June20th.  12miles a day, not going anywhere with it on weekends. That's not bad for an old 4 banger thats almost due for a tune up........

California has gone absolutely bonkers nuts.   I just filled my tank two days ago.  $4.799 / gallon at the Chevron (and that's about 10 cents cheaper per gallon than any other name brand station around here).  That's for premium.  87 gas is pretty much starting at $4.599. 120

$62.84 to fill an empty tank, with roughly 25 miles range left per the OBC  103 103

Needless to say, I've cut back on my event driving.   I don't think the price of CA gas bodes well for MTTS in LA.   102

Just cruise into your local parts store and look at gasoline additives. Find Octane booster, fill the tank accordingly and pop some of that in. You may get two more ticks on the octane scale by doing this, but the diffrence isn't all that noticeable. Now if you could get Sean to get you some of that jet fuel he has access to, now that would be pretty cool  119

I filled up at Shell on Battlefield at Cedar for $4.11/gal 93 octane. Every other station within a 7 mile radius was charging at least $4.26/gal.

The downside was that the pump was the slowest pump on the planet. I looked at the guage after several minutes expecting to see about 9 gallons in, and it was only at 4 gallons! It seemed to take about a half hour to fill up completely - less than 11 gallons.
