I paided 3.65 for premium last week. Yeah, last week and just a few days ago I saw a few stations with much cheaper prices. What happen though... Yesterday, $3.89 a gallon fill up for the Mini. I should've headed out the other day when Hubby called about the $3.37 a gallon. Filled up our two SeaDoo's and four five gallon dump tanks Sunday for a family outting to Munden's Point Park. Believe me, I didn't even ask the total price in gas. I think sporting the Hubby's Shelby GT500 around on the weekend is actually cheaper at the gas pump for weekend fun lately. Off to Busch Gardens today and a few other places through the week to finish out the summer fun for the kid and a few of his friends. I'll be looking for another fill up before the weekend I'm sure.

Paid $3.82/gallon at a 7-Eleven/Citgo on Oyster Point Road on Saturday. Seen as low as $3.80/gallon for supreme. Seen as low as $3.40/gallon for 87-octane at Wawa.

OK, gotta post... I DID NOT fill my car at any of these stations, but there are 2 or 3 stations on Jefferson between Denbigh and Ft Eustis that were around $4.75 for regular this afternoon! Needless to say, I came straight home and got the MINI (had the Bug out paying my insurance) and filled it up at Raceway in Lee Hall for $3.70 for premium, even though it needed less than 3 gallons! Might actually fill the Bug here in a bit. I don't usually fill that tank the whole way. See you all tomorrow!!! Time for that electric MINI to hit the states! And be a bit cheaper! LOL

I can't believe what I just heard on the weather channel. They were talking about our gas prices across the US going up two to maybe three times what we are currently paying over the next few days. Yes, due to hurricane Ike. I'm sure hoping that someone is blowing this way out of proportion.

Remember those days when the prices for regular, mid, and premium were only separated by .10 increments??? Not the .25 - .30 that most places have now.
The Wilco/Hess on Princess Anne between Salem and S. Plaza actually still does that! This morning it was $3.58, $3.68, and $3.78!
The stations by my house at the intersection of Dam Neck and Gen Booth were $3.89 for mid-grade.

I actually filled the Mini yesterday for UNDER $16.00 @ BJ's on the Blvd. Premium was only $1.92/gallon. The Hess on Princess Anne is @ $1.99/gallon. Gosh, it used to upset me with it close to $2/gallon - now I'm thrilled it's ONLY $1.92! Let's hope it keeps going down. Laurie

Sadly, I still get billed "sur-charges/delivery fees" due to the high cost of gasoline. That started shortly after prices exceeded $3/gal. Now there nearing just below $2/gal, and the charges are still there. I'm also wondering when the cost of groceries etc. will start coming back to where they were before all this.

Here in the Cap City, premium ranges from $1.97/gal at Costco and a Raceway to $2.69/gal at a Shell near the airport. I only use Shell, Chevron and Texaco. The cheapest Chevron is $2.12/gal. The cheapest Texaco is $2.19/gal and the cheapest Shell is $2.09/gal
