Well if this group has been traveling 044 all day, maybe they we all be up for hitting one of our local dinner spots. 038  Hubby is headed home and he'll have to have something to eat soon or he's a real  088.  Not sure if we'll grab something quick on the way or hope that some folks may want to hit a dinner spot. 120

How did things go tonight?

I had every intention of being there...but a gray-haired individual driving a Lexus SUV decided it would be "interesting" to try to test my driving skills by cutting me off when I had the right of way.  GRRRR!!!!

If the kids hadn't been in the car, there would've been a different outcome.

Going to do my best to make it to the breakfast in the morning...does anyone know if the MTTS group is headed out via the CBBT or up 64/95?

Hi Erika,

They are taking the CBBT AND, they have hired a helicopter to take an aerial picture of the Minis on the CBBT.  They are leaving the park at 10am (I think, don't quote me!) for that run.

Great turn out tonight. Shoot, MC2 does stories on events that have less cars than our meet & greet had!

I also seem to remember a 10 AM departure.

OH! And they had FOOD!!! And it was pretty tasty! Thanks for the Tropical Cafe smoothies too! 038

Wish I could make it tomorrow. Y'all make sure you post pics!

WOW, did anyone blink and miss the segment on the meet? Not bad overall, Susan from the Flag got some air time. For a nano second spot, it wasn't bad.

Good afternoon all!!! 039

Last night was a nice little turn out. 023  I met a few new faces and enjoyed some time with familiar faces as well.  Yes, 045 the unexpected food was a nice surprise along with the Tropical Smoothie truck.  The traveling bunch with Mini Takes the States were a great group of people.  Hubby took some pics.  I"ll have to post some later.

I went to the events this morning also. 045 Wow, what a blast a little car ride 044 can be with a bunch of Minis over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. 026 Who knew? 102

We headed out 044 sometime around 10:00 a.m.  At the last verbal update there would be no helicopter due to a no start 107 problem.  They couldn't get the helicopter starter?  So who's going to be the first person to jump in if they did? 017 Not me!!! 018  Well somewhere down the road they got it started and someone jumped in to take the photos that had been mentioned. 023 I sure give that lady credit!!! 023  The helicopter came into view just as we reached the Lestner Bridge on Shore Drive.  It stayed with us taking different positions all through the drive.  I can't wait to see the pics (not sure if there is video also, sure hope so). 023  There should be some really nice shoots from the CBBT area.  I'm pretty sure they got some really nice shots as we entered the tunnel and the helicopter was right above the enterance.  At one point the helicopter was so low and right over my head that I could feel the wind generated from it.  Wow!!! 023  That should've made for some excellent pics of everyone behind me.

Thanks to everyone with Mini Takes the States!!! 023  It was a blast meeting everyone 045 and I sure hope you all have a safe 059 and fun road 044 ahead.  Thanks also to Checker Flag for their support 023 of Mini Takes the States.  It's nice to have a local Mini dealership that shares these little benefits with their customers. 023

I had a great time last night too.  It was great to see everyone again and to meet the new additions to our Mini family.  The only down side was that the 2 smoothies I had didn't agree with me.  I'm NOT saying that there was something wrong with them or that they had gone bad at all.  They tasted GREAT!  I think there was something in them that my body didn't like...  I needed a day off anyway.   112

Sorry icon_cry to hear about the Smoothie upset.  078
Oh, I so couldn't resist that so called for smiley. 077 Please forgive me. icon_redface  If you hit that dinner spot that you and your son mentioned, maybe that just didn't 018 mix 119 well.

We didn't go to Carrabba's for dinner.  We were both still pretty full from the box dinners and smoothies.  I think my son drank 3 or 4 of them.  I felt ok until about 0400 today. :(  Been up ever since too...

So because of a little Smoothie you couldn't make it to work. 078

You just needed to add a little  alcohol to them and your tummy would have been just right. 119
