Hey all!  I <just> moved to Newport News in March from central PA.  I've owned my MINI (well, the bank technically owns it for a few years...) since September and LOVE it.  2007 Oxygen Blue with the sport package (not an MCS, couldn't afford the payments - hehe), white bonnet stripes, mirror caps and roof, as well as a sunroof.

My other car is a 1973 VW Beetle.  It's a bit more distinctive than the MINI as it's painted dark blue with butterflies, flowers and even grass all over it!  So if you see me out putzing around in the Bug, feel free to wave!   039  That's not to say that the MINI doesn't stand out, but my Bug certainly does!

I'm a high school teacher who is currently enjoying as much of the summer as possible to cruise around (excuse me, MOTOR) in the MINI and putz around in the Bug before the school year begins once again!

I hope to meet some of you in the future!

I have a good pic of the Bug on my computer right now.  It looks like I'll have to brave the heat to get a pic of the MINI at some point, but just for your entertainment....

Please don't laugh.  She's sensitive.  Hehe.

You can see part of the MINI in the background.  I promise to get a better pic soon!  Maybe even one with BOTH cars!  Wouldn't that be something!

Welcome!!! 039

You'll fit right in with this group, 045 even with the VW all painted up with flowers, grass, and butterflies. 045  I love the pic and will surely wave if I see you out bugging around! 023

I've recently placed red hibiscus flowers on my white mirror backs, and white ones lining sections of the sunroof.  It's a girly thing and I like it. 038 The Hubby is comfortable enough in his manlyhood 045 that he still enjoys driving 044 it around.

MPETUOS, I'm totally jealous!!!  A '64?!?!?!  My dream car is a '64 'vert, light blue with a white top and interior!  The '73 has become my primary in town car at this point, to save some mileage on the MINI.  Also, I just had the engine rebuilt, so I need to get it broken in!  She's a restoration in progress, will eventually be dark orange with either a black or cream interior (I need to decide so that I can recushion and recover my seats - sitting on almost bare wire, not so comfortable).

Thanks to all for the warm welcome!  I really can't wait to meet some/all of you!  Keep me posted of impromptu gatherings!  I'll try to make it and see if I can get my boyfriend to come as well!  (He rather likes the MINI  icon_smile)  I saw a place for AIM names, but I'll put mine here, too!  Physik Spass  Please just IM me and let me know you're from HRMINI so I can add you to my buddy list!

I work at a cyber school, so everything's online and I work from home.  Pretty cool, huh?  I'm currently teaching Physics, Physical Science and German.

Below is a pic of both cars-ish.  Taken from the balcony, so you can at least see the MINI this time - ha!
